ok I don't wanna answer this coz it might break your heart well anyway this are not facts coz clearly its all speculation coming from an average itachi fanboy.

1. Tsukuyomi was never an option from the last battle we saw, thus give us a hint that itachi might know it wont work(he's smart after all, you said that urself). Sound based genjutsu is not the same as visual genjutsu. As ma and pa frog said, their sound genjutsu is their strongest genjutsu attack. So thinking if one attack works why wont the other is a fail.

2. If there is one attack of itachi that is completely useless against nagato its Amaterasu. Why? we all saw how he repelled the fire by shinra tensei, and everyone will agree that since its a ninjutsu it can be absorb by preta path. again, itachi is wise that he did not use amaterasu to attack nagato the second time coz he already know it wont work.

3. Totsuka sword is the only way itachi can beat nagato honestly. but this one is still debatable coz nagato will not easily fall for a cheapshot if its one on one and he is focused fighting itachi and not taking 3 most powerful ninja. It can be shinra tensei'd, susanoo itself is vulnerable to chibaku tensei.

4. Yata mirror cannot block any attack, its vulnerable to banshou tenin,shinra tensei and chibaku tensei. If you think with sense, how can a shield block a non projectile attack like chibaku? it will just be pulled right in the center with susanoo and eventually squished. Again, Itachi did not use yata mirror to chibaku tensei coz itachi is much wiser than you that he knows yata mirror CANNOT block chibaku tensei.. not to mention, its a chakra thus can be absorb by preta path.bad news for you huh?

5. LOL, the magatama, why itachi fanboys always exaggerate things? that long range attack of itachi can't destroy chibaku tensei alone, itachi is WISE he knew he cannot destroy it himself that is why he ask for it, as simple as that dude. Again itachi is smart he knew even if he hit the core repeatedly its just a waste, do you actually believe magatama is stronger than TBB and Naruto's rasenshuriken?! lol clearly a hardcore itachi fanboy.

*using 3 magatama to break chibaku is just dumb dude and doesn't sound like itachi,he'll ran out of chakra plus he might got squished before he can fire 3 magatamas. I repeat, itachi is smart, he knows exactly what to do in that shituation he cant afford to waste any time or else they're doomed.

6. lastly, coming right from you itachi is smart. HE knew he cannot take nagato alone, that is why he let naruto and bee fight nagato first in order to think and come up with a plan. If he knew he can take nagato alone, he should have said to naruto that just to go on and leave nagato to him. Logical isn't it?

Tsukiyomi is Far Stronger than Ma and pa's Non'Kekkei Genkai Genjutsu. WHy do you think itachi is praised for his genjutsu and not Ma and Pa.
And it makes NO DAMN SENSE in using Tsukiyomi on a EDO TENSEI since Tsukiyomi is not stronger than Shisui's Kotoamatsuki. So using tSukiyomi would Be pointless when Itachi can just Seal him away instead. if it was the Real,uncontrolled nagato, Then of course itachi would've used genjutsu like he mostly does to end it. But kabuto perfected the Reanimation Jutsu therfore making it almost impossible to escape it. (Allmost) So Genjutsu wasent A Option Towards a Reanimation Summoning. Unless its the Strongest genjutsu(Shisui Kotoamatsuki)


and like i said Genjutsu Is Genjutsu: Dosent matter how it's delivered.

for example: I kick a ball at you, Then I Throw a Ball at you, The same thing Happened Right, The only thing diffrent was How it was delivered, But the Outcome and result was Exactly the same.

So once again Nagato most likely isnt immune to Genjutsu.

Even jiraiya's Sound Genjutsu Turned into a Visual setting. It showed Pain inside of some Cube, Pain saw himself inside of a cube, basically thats Visualisation since PAin had to "See/Visualize" that he was inside of an cube, and he couldnt even get out So basically Jiraiya used SOund To trap pain in a Visual Genjutsu.
A Straight-up Sound Genjutsu is Kin's Which she used on Shikamaru. Jiraiyas genjutsu was "reached" to pain By SOund, But resulted in a Visualized effect towards pain. Basically making it a Visual Genjutsu. But it was delivered in "sound''

And Amaterasu burned Nagato's Hand since nagato was too slow to react towards the flames. But since he was an Edo Tensei He regenerated And used Shinra Tensei to get the flames off of him. If that wasent an Edo tensei , Nagato wouldve lost his hands therefore leaving him "Jutsu-Less". SO itachi wouldnt use it a Second time, if he knows Kabuto would just Regenereate nagato. .

And Yata Mirror is an Supernatural Ethereal Sheild, its not just ANY sheild. It's Said to repel all attacks for a reason ,and how do you know if its vulnearable to Banso tensin, that wasent proven anywhere, but it did state Yata Mirror repels all attacks. Although i bieleve Yata mirror cannot repel it. But we dont know how much Susano'o Weighs, so nagato would have to use an tremendous amount of force and chakra, lifting up something that big With that Mass. And Susano'o is Heavy since When he landed to save naruto & bee, The Shockwave from Susano'o Blew off Nagato's arm, and kabuto regenerated it

And attacking Chibaku tensei repeatdedly is Not a waste. It will eventually destroy it before it completes itself. But if it completes itself then itachi is dead.

And no one knows How Strong Yasaka No Matagama is. Who knows............it may be stronger than a tailed beast bomb, Although i don't Believe So. But Any move from Susano'o should be powerful especially from Itachi's. And The Blade Of Totsuku extends so If chibaku tensei is used on itachi, it would just leave nagato wide open, for itachi to seal him. Since it takes a While to gather up the rocks, Itachi would easily seal him since it takes a few seconds to Stab him with Totsuku blade Or Seal him. Or he can Just Amaterasu chibaku tensei since it's Nothing but Rocks and Chakra.
Nagato's moves leave too many openings. 5 second delay from Shinra Tensei, No movement when using Chibaku Tensei, and can only use 1 path at a Time thefore allowing him to use only 1 technique at a time.

And it's common sense to use 2 jinchurki to help you just incase.
And if you payed attention Itachi NEVER underestimates his oponents, no matter who they are. SO he was being cautious and not over-confident. which is smart. And theres no proof that Matagama isnt stronger than a Tbb. Not saying that it is , but theres no proof...

I am a big fan of J-man and when Itachi said that it wud take him and Kisame just to draw with J-man i was so happy! But now its clear that if Itachi wanted he cud of definitely killed Jiraiya too. He never wanted 2 kill any leaf ninja Notcie how he tried to NOT fight Asuma and kurenei, But they wouldnt let itachi & kisame pass, so itachi had to hold his own against them

, and fighting a a Sanin in THE LEAF VILLAGE wouldve started a War of course and All ninja wouldve came and attacked kisame and itachi. And theres no way itachi could beat Guy Danzou, Asuma, AND Jiraiya,And the 9 tailed fox (NAruto) he definatly wouldve let the fox loose if itachi killed jiraiya or hurt sasuke enough or kill KAkashi. Then naruto wouldve got MAd and that wouldve been the end of Itachi, lol

. Notice NONE of these Strong ninja were there when Pain attcked the village. when pain attacked guess who showed up.......Konohamaru, Iruka Choji, And some other weak ninja.

The only worthy ninja pain fought when he attacked was KAkashi and had a hard time killing kakashi. As to when KAkashi fought Itachi, Itachi barely moved from his spot and wasent touched Once by KAkashi yet put him in a Coma for a week without itachi having to barely move.

And if Itachi wouldve fought Jiriaya, YOu know JIraiya is strong and that wouldve pressured Itachi to use MAngekyou excesively throughout their battle and that wouldve made itachi MORE blind and sicker than he already was and he Needed to preserve his health and Eyes Until His dream. Fight Sasuke and DIe" He most likely wouldve died due to sickness after fighting JIraiya, since he was in bad shape. And using Magekyou wouldve messed itachi up and killed him afterwards. So itachi Had to Stay alive until His enounter with sasuke of course.

I am sry but ur not making any sense at all right now, if Sasoonu cud be absorbed why didnt Kabuto make Nagato do it? Pain can absorb ninjutsu not dojutsu or anything like that, only ninjutsu otherwise he wud of absorbed the sealing from Sasoonu and also he wud of absorbed J-man's genjutsu chakra, but he cant absorb chakra in all form. Another thing you said was that shinra tensei just pushes, ur wrong its also an attack, it destroyed many ninja.

whoa now dont forget that Naruto now has access to jutsu he didnt train to learn such as the FTG AND he used an UNNAMED SEALING JUTSU to cage the Kyuubi inside himself after he released the fourths seal and the Kyuubi was like "the the sage of the six paths'!...." implying it was a sealing jutsu used by the SO6P. So Naruto does know at least ONE sealing jutsu but it remains to be seen if he will use it again and if he can use it on people and not just the kyuubi

Agreed, but i dont think thats the reason why itachi didnt fight J-man, i doubt he thought about naruto going 9 tails and stuff cuz Kisame can cut that off and plus the leaf village wud of never knew if they killed both Naruto and Jiraiya and Danzo wudnt even want to get revenge because someone killed Jiraiya but i think he didnt kill Jiraiya because he is a good guy himself, why wud he wanna take out the strongest leaf ninja at the time?
