Madhouse's Take on Popular Yoshihiro Togashi Manga

At a Tokyo press conference, director Hiroshi Koujina (Rainbow, Neuro, Kiba) unveiled Takahiro Yoshimatsu's (Kiba, Slayers, Trigun) new character designs for the Madhouse produced adaptation of Yoshihiro Togashi's hit Shonen Jump manga series Hunter x Hunter.

The series will be a reboot starting from the beginning and will air on Sundays on NTV, starting October 2nd at 10:55am.
Voice cast includes Keiji Fujiwara (Gundam 00's Ali al-Saachez, Baccano's Ladd Russo) as Leorio, Mariya Ise (Stocking) as Killua Zaoldyeck, Megumi Han as Gon Freecss, Miyuki Sawashiro (Petit Charat, Saeko in Highschool of the Dead) as Kurapica and Daisuke Namikawa (Black Lagoon's Rock) as Hisoka.

Honestly the first drawing is better but this is kind of what I was expecting anyways.

Those who are interested, HXH will be aired this October in Japan so it'll be available online this October as well. I still don't know which site is the offiicial streaming site. Just googled itxd

That's what the anime production (Madhouse) has been decided. Though there's an upcoming continuation of HXH manga where it was stopped, I think both will run simultaneuously like Naruto

i haven't read manga.....but all they are trying to do is like what funimation did to DBZ i.e., truned it into Dragonball kai.

so new version will be called something like HxH Kai xd jk.

But anyways its the production house that decide it. so i can't say anything abt it, all can i do is hope that its little better than the original HxH

I think they've decided to revive the series since Togashi continued the manga. Maybe they can't continue what was left is the series and decided to reboot it instead.
