How did Hashirama controlled the Bijuus?

now we all know that hashirama wasn't a jinchuriki, so he couldn't have sealed the bijuus within him. Madara controlled the kyuubi with genjutsu. And jinchurikis control the bijuus by defeating them after they are sealed inside them but how did hashirama controlled the bijuus?

Does anyone have any idea?:shrug:

Now don't tell stupid things like, he had a huge chakra so he controlled them, there are many people with amazing chakra but they cannot control the bijuus.
like the raikage, nagato, naruto, orochimaru, itachi, kin gin brothers.

but the first hokage was famous becuz he controlled them like they were his pets.

well, yamato didn't control the kyuubi he suppressed kyuubi's chakra, i don't think it can be said that yamato controlled the kyuubi can we?

It was because of his Mokuton. And I bet since he was a descadent of SO6P it was easier... maybe the Youngest son's gift is Biju control

Actually that statement was a little overrated or he is not controlling them with his wood element but something else.
As we have seen with Yamato (even if it was weaker) he can only restrain the kiuby, not actually control it like Madara, so i would think that the same goes for Hashirama... only that he was stronger and everything was easier for him.
I really can't see any way that he could actually CONTROL the beasts with his wood jutsu, yea restrain them and that stuff but how did he actually control them?
