Why wouldn't Itachi replace his eyes with shishu mangekyo sharingan.

This just a question i've been wondering why not replace his eyes for the eternal sharingan he could have stopped sasuke himself.

Why would he?

he set out on his mission and the only way for him to fulfill it would be if he died.

That would just be a complete waste of a great Eye.

But i see what you mean though,

Had itachi transplanted shisui's eye, gained ems or his doujutsu ability, and possibly confronted madara and took control OR sasuke for that matter, and changed their motives....

Hmm... possible, i guess ??? but its really far fetched and i doubt Itachi would have wanted shisui's eye to be used in vain.

Let me ask a question. If Shishu was so powerful why didnt he protect Konoha himself?!! There must have been another reason behind hiding his eyes then...

His eyes also takes 1 decade to recover its mangekyo like Itachi said so that was another limitation it had.

Itachi still could've gotten the ems and dealt wiht sasuke even with the ten year restraint.
