it was too short and the only thing that showed we dont know is crow with mangekyo. it isnt enough for me at least make it long and show as some fight if u dont want to give us much information kishi...

Maybe that crow that comming out is a seal to seal himself (Itachi)off. So it's maybe for the purpose of sealing

even though naruto and nagato fought already i wanted to see them go at it again they are like even but my opinion naruto> nagato barely though

i knew that would happen because bee would be no match against nagato but itachi and him would be epic

As Naruto said that Itachi is about to perform amaterasu or tsukuyomi, that triggered the crow out of Naruto. So it may be sealing the amaterasu, or deactivating stukuyomi

whatever it does its involving amaterasu because it shows him using his Mangekyō Sharingan in his right eye which could only cast amaterasu

This was a very good chapter, liked the conversation and the fighting.

Did you notice that Itachis right MS (tsukyomi) was activated a little while, but it wasnt until his left MS (Amaterasu) came alive that he said "Lets see what happens", and then the crow came out of Narutos mouth.....

I wouldnt speculate as to what Itachis gift to Naruto is, Kishi will reveal that when the time is right, but i really like reading all your theories.

And the crows sharingan having four edges, nice touch! Cant wait to see what comes next!!

I re-read the chapter and I noticed some things I didnt notice the first time when I read it. First, when Naruto is telling Itachi about getting his hands dirty to save Sasuke, Itachi states something along this, "Godamn you Madara, so you did know." Im guessing Madara didnt know about Itachi killing everyone off. Maybe I missed something in the earlier chapters. Someone must of informed Madara what Itachi was up to. If I remember correctly Danzo was in on it with Itachi, thats how he acquired the Sharingan on his arms, along with Oro helping him out.

Second, when Itachi gets on top of the bird that Nagato summons, Itachi mentions "lets see what happens." He then uses his MS on Naruto thats where the crow comes out. Itachi is testing it out to see if its going to work against Sasuke. My guess is that maybe it wont work to its fullest abilities against Sasuke since he has acquired Itachi's eyes and now has EMS. I wonder what Itachi would think if he were to know that Sasuke has his eyes transplated to Sasuke.

Madara knew about itachi's killing everyone but itachi thought that he didn't knew his real motive.....madara also said that while explaining to sasuke.....

That...was...****ing amazing! I can not, I repeat, can not wait to see what Itachi left for Naruto. God, I wish it's something awesome. I mean, really, Itachi being prepared for everything even in death...? Who can blame me for truly admiring that guy?

You are not alone, my friend. Not one bit. I remember that for the past 2+ years since Itachi's "confrontation" with Naruto, people constantly spat out ideas that it was the sharingan, rinnegn, or Itachi himself. All of it seemed cheezy and overdramatic. But a counter for Itachi's/Sasuke's black flames? A very good idea. Now that I look back, I don't recall annyone giving that idea until now.

But one person posted on how Itachi might have estimated an event such as this before his death--and that's why he gave naruto this new "thing" that hasen't been mentioned since then until now. It makes sence. I mean, Itachi did confront Naruto just a short while before fighting Sasuke (and letting him win). If Itachi had planned and staged his death, I'm sure he planed this ahead of time too.

...crows anti-sharingan jutsu...an a+ weapon for Naruto, and itachi's testing its compatibility with Naruto's current powers.

...remember...it is kabuto piloting itachi now...but itachi could alter the powers he uses because it is still his power...not kabuto's. kabuto does not know about the crow...i'll bet my ps3 on that...

...nagato will be defeated when he uses that tech repulsing an attack against Naruto and Bee again..nagato might not use it...but kabuto will...that is why kabuto is stupid...

next chap's will be madara + jinchuus vs tsuna and rai....god help the two kages....but the two will survive...

On the picture in that frame where Itachi says "Let's see what happens...", that is his right MS eye. Not left. It's OUR left but HIS right. So it is HIS right MS eye. I'm pretty sure that's his right...

EDIT: ^Ignore what I just said above. I just looked at the manga again. You're right. The top picture on page 17 shows HIS right MS eye and left sharingan eye. But when it shows ONLY the one MS eye on the frame where he says "Let's see what happens..." then yes that is HIS left MS eye. You can tell because of the way his eyebrow is facing.

Another thing I was thinking and I know is crazy was that when he put the crow in naruto he said I have shared some of my powers with you, I hope the day comes where you dont have to use them. Maybe thats why he was so weak when he fought sasuke, he put some of his powers into naruto so he could return. He knew he would fight to sasuke and lose to give him the pride and the power. He was hoping the day never came that he would have to return. Maybe to talk sasuke out of his hate. Cause he was hoping maybe naruto would stop him and if he tried to use MS on naruto then it would help him return. I just truly want him to return sooo bad. If you think about it, he was too much of a bad ass to not be in it as much as he should have. He never had a true fight.

i was also wondering what sasuke's reaction will be to itachi helping naruto. i hope it'll make him think twice about "crushing the leaf" (even though he couldn't because of naruto) but i think it'll just make him more PO'd xd

That's an ok theory. I won't try to deny or prove that it might be true but here's what I think it could be: You're right that Itachi said he shared some of his powers with Naruto and that he hoped the day never came where Naruto would have to utilize that power.

However, I think when Itachi says "I hope the day never comes....", he's referring to the day never coming when Naruto and Sasuke would have to fight. You could be right, Itachi could've been referring to the day never coming when he gets resurrected, but this is just what I think.

But according to what I'm saying, this could be why Itachi says "Let's see what happens...". After Naruto gave Itachi the somewhat brief breakdown of what has happened to Sasuke so far, Itachi realizes that Naruto and Sasuke haven't fought yet, which also implies that he knows the power he gave Naruto hasn't been activated yet either. So of course, he's going to try and test it out himself since 'the day never came' yet.

Now as to the theories I've been seeing on this thread as to what the gift could be, I'd have to go with the 'countering MS/EMS thing' that I've been seeing people say. That seems like a good power Itachi could've given Naruto. If it's true, I'm not sure which power it would be able to counter [Amaterasu or Tsukuyomi] or maybe both. Pretty sure it won't work against Susanoo though. Maybe, maybe not. Just going to have to wait and see.

I just can't see Naruto with a Sharingan...>_> and Itachi knowing he would be resurrected just seems a little too farfetched.
