I am thinking, if currently S-Rank mages had to complete this challenge to become S-Rank; wouldn't that mean all of them have fairy glitter?

If so, I hope Laxus uses it in corresponding with his lightning magic. It would give us an insight on how strong that magic actually is plus a new side to Laxus, as if he is a changed person.

The moment Hades was about to kill Natsu, I knew someone would step in. I actually thought it would be Gildarts for a second, but I must admit, Laxus's entrance was amazingly epic.

Even with the return of Laxus, honestly my favorite Fairy Tail, I don't expect him to win or show any signs of having the upper hand for a few chapters.

Lets not forget he couldn't beat two dragon slayers nor take down Mistgun. And, I doubt he could beat Gildarts which means he couldn't take Marakov down in a fight.

What I am trying to get at is, Laxus shouldn't be able to beat Hades at all. But, he has to go down. Therefore, I want the fight to last a bit long for the most legit way for Laxus win outcome.

Even with the return of Laxus, honestly my favorite Fairy Tail, I don't expect him to win or show any signs of having the upper hand for a few chapters.

Either Laxus will get pwned and will then accept to fight with all of the other fairies together or Laxus will get the upper-hand at first, stating he had been training like crazy.

You're way off. He defeated both Natsu and Gajeel easily, he fought Mistgun for a period of time and was completely unharmed, he fought Erza and was completely unharmed, he used Fairy Law to basically kill everyone. The only reason he lost was because Fairy Law didn't work and it drained him of his power. And of course... he fought Natsu and their's no way the writers would let Natsu lose. He is definitely stronger than the Fairy Tail group that was previously fighting against Hades.

Edit: His power compared to Gildarts or Makarov is debatable because he has not ever fought them or fought beside them. This fight with Hades will be a measuring stick though.

That whole unarmed situation with Mistgun, lets not forget he would of be unarmed if not distracted. It was a standstill. In the manga he didn't fight Erza, and manga is more canon than anime.

Even if you still debate with me on those two points, I'm correct about Laxus not being able to defeat Gildarts or Marakov. Heck, it seems he would have a ton of trouble dealing with Erza and Mistgun if it came down to it.

I just saw your edited part, and if Laxus can seriously measure up to Gildarts and Marakov then the whole structure of guild's strength as well everyone's perspective is wrong. Thus, ruins a lot of the quality in the manga.

Pretty good chapter, good to see that even Erza, Natsu and Gray can do nothing. I liked the part with Wendy being saved by the clock. I always thought he was a useless spirit.

False? How could you say it is false when you, yourself just stated we will be able to deduce his strength with the following chapters? They are more assumptions than false assumptions.

But, your right we will be able to officially make judgement once the fight concludes. But, its obvious by several references that Laxus isn't going to win solo nor will he prove to be on Marakov or Gildarts level.

If I am wrong, the author has indeed messed up along establishing Marakov, Gildarts, and Hades' strength.

In my honest opinion, I don't think Laxus can beat Makarov or Gildarts (At least if he mantained the power level he had when he left, which I doubt ) but it's true and I believe that will be stated soon, that he became much more powerful during the time he was abscent.

Well, as Crutch said, this fight will probably allow us to know what are Laxus's limit.
