This makes me lol. Hidan at the bottom? Kisame down there? Have you honestly read the manga and comprehended it? Kisame is the strongest Akatsuki member on your list. Kakuzu's experience and wisdom would make him very close to Kisame, and Hidan just can't die. Deidara and Sasori could not hang with Kisame. This is my opinion that is supported by what I've read in the manga.

Then. my friend, I doubt you comprehend the manga. Sasori has poison + everything else we've been talking about him for the past few pages...I don't see Kisame having a chance against something like that. Deidara can fly and has bombs, very bad matchup for Kisame. Kakuzu is smart and has a lot of elements, so he's easily in the top. Hidan is the worst. Fact. Besides being immortal, his only skill is easily interrupted if he fights against more than one. Please tell me : how can Hidan win against Sasori, who doesn't even have blood? Bores him to death?

I would easily debate my list anytime, but on another thread, as I do not want to go off-topic from this one.

I dont care how strong Sasori was when he killed the third .. or how he managed to kill him .. the fact that he was able to use the thirds power does mean that he was the strongest in Suna .. Gaara's great and one of my favourites but all he can do is control sand .. lets assume iron sand = gaaras sand ... then what gaara doesnt have any other advantage ... Sasori has poison .. various other puppets .. good defence ... plus the most important he was good at making living shinobis as his puppet or spies too .... which in the shinobi world is a major asset ... not to mention he decided to die by himself .. ( he did not avoid the final blow) ......... and i do agree Edo tensei zombies are weaker than the shinobi themselves ... look at the fight between the previous hokages and the 3rd ... the 1st hokage ( arrguably strong enough to fight Madara was there .. but did little or no impact ) ..... So till konkuro is able to control human puppets .. or more .. he has not surpassed Sasori .. When Kishi shows that then ill believe

whatever it is, kisame would own pretty much everyone but itachi or nagato, even though i think with samehada he could have fought itachi at equal level, saying deidara and sasori and kakuzu are more powerful than kisame is hilarious. i mean he's the tail-less tail beast... Orochimaru would own most of those people too if we're talking about in his prime and not when sasuke went for the kill since Orochimaru was dying anyway. Itachi is invincible with his complete Susanoo, even Madara said so, he would wipe his ass with everyone on akatsuki, if itachi didn't have such poor chakra reserve for an Uchiha and didn't suffer of whatever illness he had, he would even be more powerful than Nagato+Rinnegan, hands the F@$K down.

My list for Akatsuki from strongest to weakest (excluding Madara and Zetsu)

Sasori's in my bottom three of Akatsuki, I didn't add Orochimaru for the fact that he wasn't a member for long (I mean in the time frame of what we've seen. We only saw him once as Itachi's partner and then never again). Now if Sasori was the strongest in Suna it's really not surprising. Sasori was one of the weakest S-class shinobi I've seen (persanally). Now I'm not saying he's weak but for the standard I generally put shinobi of that calibur at he's midiocore (spelling) at best. I say this for his fighting style having clear wholes in it. His weak poing is a huge dot in his chest. His 100 puppets jutsu doesn't seem so strong since they were defeated by 10 puppets and two kunoichi, also puppets in general I don't find too interesting. They're only assets are they're hidden compartments with weapons (generally filled with poision) that most shinobi seem to be able to react to quick enough to defend against them or can fight through them for an extended period of time. Also compared to the members of his team, Sasori could be defeated by any of the above. That's my view on the subject

I agree with you that Sasori could be beaten by any of these other than Hidan , Deidara ... or maybe Konan ... and was quite low compared to the rest in the whole S rank thing .. but he still is the strongest in Suna ... unless Gaara comes with some more jutsu ( Maybe some elemental jutsu .. maybe summoning jutsu .. Maybe some form of Taijutsu < not required Due to range but still > )

one, kakuzu was handled by Kakashi for most of it, kisame would have beaten the Hibachi in his tail-less tailbeast form, and even when he didn't have his sword, he forced Guy to open the 7th gate...SEVEN GATES... i don't think you don't understand how much ass that would beat, but Kakashi wouldn't even be able to handle 4 gates. Let alone Kakuzu, so there.

Because he's the only one able to use the Jutsu to create puppets from living people, which allows him then to control the person's chakra and ultimately their techniques. Kakashi was handling Kakazu? From what I remembered Kakashi was running for the most part from Kakazu and one of his hearts while the other 2 hearts were chasing Ino and Chouji...and then Kakashi gets saved twice.:flaw:

Do not underestimate someone who can make a top secret poison, which can only be cracked by a top medic ninja. Someone that took over an entire nation with 100 puppets. Took out the strongest Kazekage ever. Had a number of subordinates including the mighty Kabuto. Was known all over the shinobi world. Only person with the ability to turn human into human puppets. Had a undisclosed number of human puppets. He also has no nervous system or emotions so I doubt genjutsu can affect him either.

Due to the effort that he put into defeating the 3rd Kazekage, Sasori made him his favorite puppet. What more do you want? You can try and deny it and live in your own little world, but the truth is within the manga already.

1.Sasori won against the 3rd in a battle (hence the effort)
2.3rd had Iron Sand, which is the STRONGEST weapon in the sand village
3.Iron Sand > Gold Sand > Normal Sand
4.Sasori controls the 3rd, so he has the Iron Sand.
5.Sasori has the edge in battle experience and speed for sure.

How much more do you want ? It doesn't get more straightforward than that.

And if no one saw it, there would have been traces of evidence left behind, which there was none (which is why no one knew what happened to him). It was so obviously a sneak attack. He most likely stuck a poison needle in the 3rd when he wasn't paying attention. Anyone, even the strongest shinobi, can die from poisoning! So the strongest kazekage ever...so for comparion's sake let's just assume he was about as strong as the strongest hokage ever...

It was a silent night no different than any other and the 3rd kazekage had just finish an important meeting among the top sand officials....He lays in bed preparing to sleep, but little does he know there is a little puppet equipped with poison in his closet.

It is 4 am in the middle of the night and the closet quietly creeks open and a little puppet doll emerges he climbs onto the bed and injects a needle of poision into the 3rd's butt cheeks. The 3rd is sound asleep snoring and is not aware...tthe puppet crawls back into the closet.

He wakes up the next morning and realizes he is very sick and dies 3 days later....When the 3rd kazekage died in his sleep on the 3rd night the closet creeked open again and the tiny puppet abducted the 3rd's corpse to bring back to Sasori...

and this was the story on how Sasori "sneak attacked" the greatest kazekage ever and turned him into his own puppet. The Endxd
