Minato: Overrated or Underrated?

OVERRATED!!!!!!!!!!!!! I respect the dude and what he has done, but damn!! Lol

All I see is; fgt, Rasengan and sealing techniques (summonings too possibly)

But IMO lacks; strength, taijutsu (average), variety.

With the abilities he had he was a great shinobi and is in the top 10. With techniques like his he could handle a lot of situations that other shinobi couldn't have, but it's not because he was/is better than them but he was better suited for the job due to his abilities.

Well, it depends. If all they say to be so strong and deadly ect... and all he do is the techs we have seen him doing (notably Rasengans and FTG), then he's without doubt overrated.

Still, for me, he became a Kage and for that you need to know a lot of jutsus. Perhaps not as much as Hiruken but he must have been quite good at ninjutsus to be able to create a new jutsu based on observation Rasengan) or give Kakashi advice for his Chidori.

That's why I'll say that he's underrated. Besides FTG (which is so deadly), Rasengans, Fuuinjutsus, for me he was pretty great at ninjutsus (Perhaps 2 or 3 elements) also. Not to forget that his arsenal of sealing techs is surely much more advanced than what we've seen him doing. Also, unlike Kakashi, he has a great reserve of chakra as he did 2 seals techs, numerous FTG, summomings ect... in one night (Kyuubi attack) and despite being pierced, he was still talking (it's more comprehensible for Kushina being an Uzumaki) and able to master his chakra perfectly. That's why I'll say he's underrated as all they say is that he's deadly strong and awesome with his FTG but hey, he surely knows much more for me atleast.

For me personally no he is not overrated

Dead Deamon Consuming seal is his too and so far its one of the most deadly technich, and the 8 Trigrams seal he used to seal the Fox into Naruto and was even admired by Bee is his too, and don't forget the strong barrier he put when fighting the Kyubi so that no one NOT EVEN Hiruzen would interfere!

he has basically the best possible chakra control (since he created Rasengan) and he has at least one element and those two together result in A or S Rank Ninjutsu!!

And there are his reflexes, he could save Naruto with his own speed before Madara could stab him with his Kunai.

PLZ dont say FTG is everything Minato has its just wrong!! its just his coup de grâce

definately overated, because he sealed the kyubi and defeated a weak madara, everyone thinks hes a ****ing god. 1st hokage defeated a full powered madara and the kyubi at the same time,thats what u call power. and i dont want to hear o minato sealed the kyubi cause he wanted to give naruto power, he still wouldnt have defeated it at all. 1st hokage is the best and minato is over rated cause of a ****ing rasengan and stupid ass ftg

seems very unlikely.. to one lose willingly against his biggest rival and such a defeat to be remembered by all in history.. huuum specially unlikely since the uchiha are full of pride..

another thing.. if he knew he would be able to travel times..he wouldn't fight to lose..he would never fight at all and just wait till the opportunity presented itself..

i say Minato is Overrated unfortunatly. I love the guy, he in my top 3, my number 1 char to play with in Ultimate Ninja storm 2. But when people look at him and "grade" him, they usually miss what makes Minato, Minato. So therefor they are overrating him. We can only "grade" him on assumptions on what is still to be uncovered about Minato's supreme awesomeness
