Sure, he's still pretty good at regular combat, and he has the Rasengan, but.. without his space-time techniques, and with Gai in 6 gates mode.. that's pretty harsh if you ask me. Might as well start digging Minato's grave right now.

Guy will win this no problem and thers no way Minato can drag out this match if he has no FTG.

Why would you give Guy 6 gates but Minato no FTG?
At least you could have matched them up with Guy not having any Gates and Minato cannot use FTG.This would be a better match in my opinion.

Well i have been reading a couple of minato threads, and they make him seem pretty unbeatable, so i wanted to see how he would fair with other supersonic fighters.

Don't underestimate Fuinjutsu and Minato is one of the best in it + he has extremely high chakra control and at least 1 element that together imo results in A or even S level techs, he doesent exactly run low on chakra either + there are the summons

Yes that is true (it bothers me people put Minato against like EVERYONE who's OP and then people saying he'll actually win), they do make him seem that way, but taking away his speed and then putting him up against a fast person doesn't really work in that aspect.

Anyway, yeah Gai would win almost for certain....Minato might have Rasengan but it doesn't matter if he can't even hit Gai.

Are you sure about that? Maybe so when Gai's not using the gates and when he has FTG but not now. I'm a Minato fan but even I have to say he'd loose this.

Well, to be a Kage, I suppose that he also had 2-3 elements jutsus at least and had surely some nice jutsus. I' agree that with 6-gates is a bit harsh against Minato but apart FTG, he surely knows lots of jutsus, excellent at fuiinjutsu, seemed good at taijutsu, don't know about genjutsu and was prime in his space-time ninjutsu. He also had a lot of chakra reserve as he did two seals and was still talking while sealing Kyuubi and did FTG lots of time before doing that on that night.

I think, he can beat Guy. It will be tough but he can do it. YOu should atleast have just said no FTG as space-time ninjutsus give two handicaps to Minato (no FTG and frogs summoning) but also one to Guy (no turtle).

It could go either way but Minato can pull it off even without FTG. You need to accept that what made Minato great is that with two jutsus that required very little chakra consumption (FTG and Rasengan), he could pwn almost anyone but still, he surely did know lots more of that especially elements jutsus and fuuinjutsu. Also, he has a higher IQ than Guy.

If I knew more about Minato's sealing jutsus I could of know what he could do against Guy.
But at this moment it's really a fail battle.
I mean Guy can go all out up to 6 gates but you are taking out Minato's primary jutsu...
Oh well, if I knew what Minato could do more I would say he would definitly win.

im not sure about summoning jutsus if he summons gamabunta gai will have a hard time getting gama to lose

Most of you keep thinking that Minato is useless without his God Thunder Technique.
The fact is he is still pretty quick without it and has a range of other jutsus he could use like rasengan, and if he felt like sacrificing himself to kill guy using the dead reaper seal, he could.
Besides, he would most likely find a weakness in guy's tech.
Even with the huge handicap it could go both ways, but i think Minato should win.
