Introduction
Let’s start from the beginning shall we? I am ZeroG, ex-Sempai under Tenzo, my greatest wish right here and now, is to get some real Naruto RPG up and running. I’ve RP’ed for several years in RL, and I’ll do my best to apply some of the things to this forum-based RPG.


The good old times
Oh the good old times, the veterans become nostalgic if you mention this to them, and they have good reason to do so, because according to them NB was much more fun in Its young days, why? Some people might ask, well I’ve asked myself and many veterans that question many times and I’ve never received a clear answer but I’ve found some points the veterans don’t like or miss


RPG Basics
To those who’s never RP’ed before, and to those who’s never fully understood it, RPG is all about creating experiences for others, this means that sacrifices are needed; let’s take a scenario shall we?


The Scenario
I want to be the Hokage, so I plan to assassinate the current Hokage during the night, and then do some shizz to get elected as Kage, the Narutoverse says that this is possible, I’m a former Iwagakure and Akatsuki member, my bio is pretty ruthless, and I’m a Sannin leveled Shinobi, so I should have a decent chance of sneaking into the Hokage mansion, there’s no rules stopping me either, the thing that stops people is that nobody RP’s, nobody thinks about if they are welcome in the thread, and nobody wants to lose their bio, although these may seem as good reasons, they aren’t.


RPG Scenario (continued)
I’m sneaking into the Hokage Mansion at 2 AM, if there’s no time stated, please ask for it over VM instead of spamming the thread. Now begin to think BEFORE you post, why would you be in the Hokage mansion at 2 AM? The only people allowed there should be ANBU members, the Hokage himself his family, and his guards, these guards are picked by the Kage him/herself IF he/she wants them, you can’t just say that you are a bodyguard.
Anyways, let’s say that you have a good reason to be there, then think again, would you notice me? Even if you think you would, think again, would it be more RP destroying than RP contributing to expose me? Exposing me would create RP, my execution, my escape the hunt whatever. But if my plan succeeded it would create so much more RPG, it could result in a civil war, it would cause great disturbance, it could even result in a good ol’ fashioned war. Now some of you may be thinking, “but we don’t want a war” or “we don’t want to lose the war or our bio’s.” Well I can’t say anything else than get over yourself, if your bio is killed three times, you can re-make it immediately, if your bio is captured you CAN discard that bio, the only downside is that you can’t make EXACTLY that bio for a while, so I see no reason not to die for the RP.


About the war
Well wars can be extremely fun, IF people would just do something more than attack head on, Shinobi don’t just attack directly, use assassins, cause unrest amongst your enemy, and finally, send a spy.
The second I mention a spy you’ll probably lecture me on how it’s against the rules, BUT with RP that problem is solved, you simply create a thread where you state you bio and what time it is, and then you do whatever you want, as long as you RP. There’ll be guards at the gate of course, these will also have been chosen by the Kage so not just anyone can answer. But these guys will be RP’ing too, if it’s a time of peace they’ll probably not make a big fuss about it, since that would be bad RP, but if it’s a time of war, then expect to be searched throughoutly, and if the guards have a sensor type ninja amongst them, then they can of course use their ability to sniff you out.
How your mission goes by, depends on your actions and the RP’ers around you, if you do something extremely stupid you should expect to be caught and executed.


They aren’t replying!!!
A common problem, the people who’s supposed to do their RP’ing in the fight or at the gates aren’t online, if this is the case, then I’m afraid you’ll have to wait, because nobody gets into a hidden village without being searched and identified. You can, if you want to, try to sneak over their defenses, but you’d have to throughout explain how you try to get through the defence, remember, it’s a hidden village you’re trying to infiltrate. Now the tricky part comes, because normally shinobi from other nations don’t know anything about another village’s defense system, so you’ll just have to take a wild guess, or get your info elsewhere.
When you’ve posted your attempt, you’ll have to wait until someone with knowledge of the defense system to post in the thread, the guy will tell you what happens when you try this and that, and depending on what happens, you’ll be presented with a new opportunity, who knows, maybe you’ll succeed.

Don’t be an idiot, if you want to create some RP by selling some info, do it over MSN or PM, if someone sees your VM, or if the guy decides to publish your MSN quote, then too bad, that’s the ninja world for you, don’t whine, take it as an opportunity to show your comrades that you’re a real firkin powerhouse, or you could just stab your captain before you leave, who knows? Only your imagination sets the limit.


False Info
Deal with it, it’s a popular thing to spread false info, learn to like it. This will also reinforce the importance of trust in the RP.


Why So Serious?
I will fall to my knees and beg you all, when you RP, please show it or please tell people, because it seems most people on NB can’t tell when you’re RP'ing, and when you’re not RP’ing. Please stop being so serious, see through your opponents morbid jokes, see through the insults, RL insults expose a bad RP’er, leave him to his own foolishness. Try to act Ninja in the RP, ninja’s insult each other all the time, just remember “” those marks before and after whatever you want to say is a good way to show that you’re RP’ing.
Less seriousness means more fun, if you can persuade yourself to do it, then try to bear with your opponent, tell him over VM if he’s made an obvious mistake, but just remember that the battles are actually meant to be funny.


Bad RP and Good RP
Obvious mistake, duh! If you let people handle this stuff themselves, they’ll just cheat like crazy. To be honest I’ll agree, some people will cheat, this is a fact, but whenever you cheat you just destroy some RP for another person and for yourself, if you let the assassin slip through you’ll get much more chaos and action than if you find a non existing evidence on him and kill him on the spot, if everybody creates RP for each other instead of themselves, we’ll end up with the best RP on the web.
Think about what you do, that’s all it takes, and if you keep being a bad RP’er, you’ll notice that people will give you back tenfold someday. Wait for people to reply; don’t try to get through easy. Limit your stealing, it’s much better to show your opponent mercy with a comment like, “you’re too pathetic to die by my sword.” This will make him seek revenge, and that’s more RP for you. Most important is, if someone tells you that they find a suspicious kunai on you while you’re infiltrating a village, then that’s what happens, unless you’ve specifically specified that you’re unarmed or unless the guy doesn’t give any explanation, bear with your fellow RP’ers, let it happen.


Organize it? Wait what?
Guess what? To do this we actually have to organize the villages, who’s the guards? Who’s the bla bla bla etc
Please make a clear defense plan so infiltrations can be done as quick as possible, and please don’t change it too often.​

Well, would join but the part about senseis is completly true. I havem't found anyone to train me and, honestly, I don't think I'll do. And that's the bad part, because this could be a lot of fun (and a good way to run from working for a minute or two), but it seems reserved for the veterans. The ones that, some time ago, were trained (back when there were senseis). For the ones that enter this game now (like I did), unfortunatly, the only thing left to do is watch from the side lines...

But a good idea...and hope to see your fights soon!
