History:
Born into the Main Branch of the Hyuuga clan , Arc was to be the heir to the clan's main house . However , he showed no talent nor potential , he even lacked the ferocity and the will to fight . Deemed a failure by his father , he apparently lost his position to his cousin in the branch house who clearly shows more potential than he ever had .
To redeem himself , he had to defeat the current head of the clan , his father , in a fight . For that reason , he trained himself for many years and improved his skills vastly . The Hokage recognized his skill , thus sending him on many high-ranked missions .
Proving his worth , the Hokage decided send him and a team of highly-trained ninjas who specializes in stealth on a infiltration mission in Otogakure . But things didn't went as planned , someone had apparently tipped off the Sound ninjas and Arc and his team got ambushed .
Arc activated his Byakugan after sensing murderous intent in the air and evasively maneuvered his way through the traps set up by the Sound ninjas , but his teammates weren't so lucky , not knowing what befell them , they walked themselves into those traps unwittingly which would ultimately be their downfall .
Arc barely escaped with his life , bearing th pain and guilt of not being able to do anything to save them . He returned to th village and reported to the Hokage . All the Hokage said was , “The unexpected happened and what happened cannot be undone . ” Of course , those words didn't get through to him .
That tragedy would be forever etched into his memories and would also serve to make Arc a better person and a better ninja , he also swore revenge against Otogakure for allowing him to bring shame to himself and the Hyuuga clan .
