I'm bi, I have several friends that are gay, lesbian, or bi. Not a single one I know has been molested or "coerced" into their sexuality. Here's what being gay/lesbian means...
you are physically/mentally/emotionally attracted to the same gender.
In other words, you know how when a dude is attracted to a woman because of (place reason here), well a lesbian will feel the same attraction.
The same works for if a woman feels an attraction towards a male, well a gay male would feel the same attraction.
Bisexual just means you're not necessarily picky on what tool a particular person uses nor are you really picky on who you form such a connection with.
Being connected with another human being is much more than simply what happens in bed (or shower, closet, couch, floor, wherever). It's about feeling a connection on a mental and emotional level, the pysical attraction - like on many straight people - is just the "opener" of said connection. Not every gay male/woman wants to have *** with everyone of the same gender.. it doesn't work that way except with the few *** addicts out there. (Which if being a "*** addict" is a "crime," then there are many, many, MANY straight men/woman who are guilty of this too.)
Your theory is based purely on your own speculation which is how things get so messed up in the first place. Ok, so let's say I have *** with a guy. That particular moment, I could be "gay" yet later I have *** with my girlfriend, then I'm back to being "straight." Ok, now let's combine this... what if my girlfriend and I have a threesome with a male... am I just rapidly going "gay-straight-gay-gay-straight-straight-straight?" No. It's called "bi-sexual" because I'm attracted to both genders at the same time. Not particularly genders (there are a ton of guys/women I would never talk to, let alone get close enough to have *** with) but PEOPLE.
Get that head out of your ass, you need some oxygen.

People here need to stop arguing about religion. Since there are so many different beliefs and different levels of following them, I believe it would be best to leave religion out of this. If you want to express your feelings about sexualities then say how you truly feel. Don't say what someone else wants you to believe, don't say what some book told you to believe, and don't say what society wants you to say/believe. Say how you individually feel. No god,society,bible, or judgment.

I admit I feel a bit uncomfortable around gays unless I know them as close friends. But I would never insult them because of their sexuality.

I'm a bisexual atheist. I haven't read through every single one of these posts, but in my experience, people who have never seen different cultures have no business making judgements about them. Questions are fine, but it tends to come off as righteous interrogation. Just because you're encouraged to be pulled out of your ignorance doesn't mean you have a RIGHT to people's personal information. This is not the place where you will get the answers you need. I feel like church isn't either, but see that kind of statement is the kind of thing that people get riled about. But, let's get back on topic. Orochimaru, Kabuto, and Sai. All gay.

I am not gay. However, my Dad and his family are Muslim, and they had their views set very strongly.
I grew up in a VERY liberal city in Michigan, around my Christian Mother. I still live here, because I love it so much. We have clubs, hooka bars, and marijuana civil infractions that are less than misdemeanors, that don't exceed 25$, so naturally, you're weird if you DON'T smoke weed here.
Then, there are our views of gay people.... I have seen a few gay people thrive here in their life, due to a community that is very accepting of diversity of all sorts.
I worked at a supermarket when I was seventeen, and I was cool with a dude that acted totally straight, then I found out from someone that he was gay. I thought, "well, he was okay while I thought he was straight, what does that make me as a human if I hate him for being gay?".
I realized that not all gay people wanted to **** me. He never threw it in anybodies face. Heck, I never even heard it directly from his mouth.
So I developed a mantra for gay people--- If you are gay, that is fine, just leave me out of it.

Oh, and chillertastic, F you in the A. I've had *** with 45 women and 3 men, does that make me gay? I slept with all of them to be with them as people, not to prove my manliness, or for any other contrived reason. Your concepts on relationships and sexuality are SkEwEd. Calling someone by the other ***, or another race, should never be an insult. Being a religious bigot, now THAT's a choice you could mock someone for. Your sister sounds like a wonderful person. I'm really disappointed to see such an ugly side of some of you.

Oh my sister is cool. But she as a girl thinking she is a guy. She is so pretty so femine but now she acts like a guy. I might as well have 4 brothers now and 1 less sister out of the five.
Lets get real people really don't come out of the closet until they get older. Becasue either their family doesn't agree with the lifestyle or they might think it is evil from someone teaching against it. I went to highschool with that big sister she was a Senior and I was a freshman at that time. She ate lolli pops from girls and started wearing kakies more than dresses and etc... Someone turned her out. Now she turns people out.
My views are screwed maybe. But I love all people the same they are human just like my sister and such and I can not judge I am not God.
But I don't care what you are. You can be bi sexual but if another dude sticks his yaya in you. How manly can you be afterwards. How gangster or how man hearted are you after another man took that as a release.
I am not going to labelised people but I knew a few gay guys. Who after they been in it for a while. Their hands switches, they voice get shakier, and they have a switch to their walk. They have that switch because they been strecthed in the booty hole.
This is why people who were victimised in prison/jail/holdings do not talk about it. Basically your a man turned girl for a second.
Also when you had *** with the 3 guys it made you gay at that point.

I've only read half the thread but I think everyone that's gay or bi (wether or not they're born like that or if it's a choice) should just be accepted by everyone in every religion. It doesn't matter if they're gay or not. It's the same person! What if you meet someone and you have a conversation about a random topic, like boats or something xD would that conversation be any different if that person was gay/bi? I don't think so so why sould their sexual orientation matter in the first place?

I come from a cristian family and was raised that way but about four years ago I realised that I was bi and everyone in my family accepted it.
I no longer believe in the cristian version of a God, I believe that there is indeed a Godlike 'creature' and that his/her only job is to watch over the earth. I don't believe in any kind of story that some God created the world, I'm a supporter of Darwin and the Big Bang theory.

Truly I don't care about any religion but I don't know what you call that.But as you can see by my name I am a lesbian but I don't go around to ever girl I know and go all rapist on them.My friends know what I am and they accept that and they don't care when I give them hugs because they return them happily.After I told them they acted no different around me but just because they don't do anything doesn't mean others won't either.So far no one at school bugs me about it.Even my parents know and they don't care as long as i'm happy.

I don't like judging over people... I think everyone should have the right to live their lives how they want it. (I could write a three pages long text now, about what you're allowed to do, or not, and what is about murder, or rape, or blablabla... I think everyone can do what he want, as long as he/she don't inflict damage on other people, and that's it!)
I mean... it's just the same with religous... who gave me (as a christ, for example) the right to say: it's a sin if you don't believe in my god!
And judging over gays is just the same... just because most of the humans are "straight", they don't have the right to say only their way is the right way...
And about that bible proofed shit... yeah, it's really shit, and I'm not saying this because I hate christians or the bible or whatever...
I heard some pretty interesting lessons about this whole bible-theme, and I know some people who are studying theology and all this stuff... and the one real thing about the bible that you really can say is: whatever you want to proof, you will find it!
The bible was written by many and not only one person...and over decades... and not God wrote it, humans wrote it... and humans are always affected by their environment, their education, their personal experiences, and so on... so you can find pretty much different opinions in that "holy book"...
I've even heard about a story where a father had *** with his daughters... and yes, it was in the bible,... nice, right? xD (I think his name was "Lot"... you can google this.) The funny thing on this little inzest story is that, who ever had written this, don't make a judgment... it's just told it like a little story about sheeps eating gras, and then the text just goes on.
And what nearly noone mentioned here... What about the new testament? If there would be no new testament, we wouldn't be Christians, we would be Jews! xD So why is nobody quoting what Jesus said? And what he said was written down very clearly... and that is to love eachother, and don't judge about people just because they are different... that's what he did, he ate with sinners and whores... and now we're sitting here, calling ourselves "Christians" and judging over other people, just because they are different? Doesn't that sound stupid?
So please... don't say being gay is a sin, because that's written in the bible... that just make me laugh xD
