Is anyone here gay/lesbian? I'm straight but where i'm from they discriminate against people with different sexual orientations and i think thats wrong. I'm not trying to demean anyone and its really low that people seem to use gay and homosexual references as a way of insulting others. That's probably very insulting to people who are ( more often than not) just born different. A person's private life is their own business, what are your thoughts?

I agree, people should be able to be who they are without others judging them. Some people are gay, deal with it.

It's the 21st century so people nowadays are rational. Too bad the irrational people always stand out.
I don't agree with the moral of that story. Religious people should really stop discriminating against others and try to be more tolerant towards their fellow man, especially in things that don't concern them: people's private lives. Faith is a personal choice, NOT a means to look down upon someone else.

i know (as in actually talked to before) maybe 6 or 7 gay/bi guys not sure about how many lesbian/bi girls as they act alot less obvious.

If being gay is a sin, then I'm sure God will punish them for their sins, so it's God job to do the punishing, it's not yours, or anyone else.
Bible and Quaran and all other religious scriptures were made as a rulebook, a guideline, telling what is right or wrong. Just because you know the rules, doesn't mean its your job to uphold them, it your job to teach them to everyone else, and that is all.
And when I say "you", I mean that in general.

The fact is you cannot prove whether God exists or doesn't exists. If you choose to believe he doesn't thats up to you, if someone chooses that he does exist, thats their personal faith. You cannot go around telling people what to believe, it's up to them, religion is a personal choice(for most at least).
"When in fact there's not." Thats not a fact, thats an assumption. Scientists all over the world have been unable to prove and disprove the existence of God, when in fact, they have been unable to. And that is a real fact.
I have my biological fathers approval, why would I need an imaginary one?
And who are you to tell me how to spend my time? That is also a personal choice, if I want to spend my time doing useless things, then I shall do so.
On a side note, I'm not that religious, I was only talking about God, because the guy I quoted was talking about sins.

People need to remember that man wrote the bible, not God. Most of the things written in those books were put there because the people writing them thought it was right.
