Because ninja's took the samurai's over like Hanzo said, they needed to find a way to counter the ninja's. One of them is their masks against poison, the second is to stop them using ninjutsu by attacking the opening while making handseals.
Hanzo is a strong ninja, but Mifune is a strong samurai, a samurai that mastered the art to counter ninjas.
I think Kishi did this, so that we can see that the Samurai's aren't weak.

I just happened to realize that hanzou's mask was cut off XD, we will finally get to see his face after he regenerates and they start fighting again

I know this isn't funny due to deaths etc blah blah but anywa the incident that happened in Japan. Will this effect Naruto Manga and Anime? It be a bitch if Kishi died aswell (Don't have a clue if he lives in Japan at this current stage or what but eh)
yes it is all sad
i know kishi is ok since he lives in a different city (or so wiki tells me when i was trying to see if he lived anywhere near Sendai) but but the worst part is that japan is sure that there will be a melt done which will effect all of japan once any and all of the radiation gets release into the wind and travels i hope thing turn out good but so far its not so seeing that this is the case so far im betting there will be a gap in the manga and all anime depending on the how bad it turns out to be i mean death toll is already over 10,000 i feel bad for them all
no it isnt, like i said i hope that nuclear power plant doesnt blow like they think it willman.. lets all pray for japan.. and NOT because of there is possibilty that manga/anime will be delayed but cause of there are freaking possibilty of 10.000 death people

its sad what happened in japan this chapter is titled asumas team together again but we only see them for one page the rest is mifune vs hanzou it should be titled hanzou vs mifune other then that good chapter lets be good and wait a month for the chapter we we have to remember over 500 people have died in japan i'd give them a year

i have a feeling we wont see kakashis rampage kish might not show it but they might make it a ep filler show us but i hope we get to see it in the manga

Hi, he has no hat on page 18 because it's the first fight between them two
It's like the memory of their first fight, and you can comprove it by what Hanzou says in page 19. Got it? lol

so...kakashi's rampage will cloud the Japan force majeure or cas fotuit ...kakashi will let us forget the disaster for even a bit of moment...

i thought it was a good chapter.
hanzo may be a strong ninja but without his ninjutsu he is not anywhere near the level of mifune in taijutsu. just what you would expect from a samurai
also all these haters of it saying "QQ hanzo is weak QQ i dont want him to be weak i want him to be epic QQ"
well lets have a look at it this way.
99% of a ninjas strength is in their jutsu (tai-gen or nin)
if you take away their jutsu they have become weak
now hanzo is not weak, he was unable to use his jutsu. even when he didnt use his jutsu.
as we heard from asuma along time ago, "if two ninja of the same level fought with sharpened weapons the one with the sharper tool will win"
now if you read that last page
"people are like swords
"bluntness will not last
"your attack doesnt have the sharpness it used to!"
mifune is refering to hanzo not the weapon. to put another way
"you have lost faith in yourself therefore your attack is not as strong nor precise as it was"
"you who completely focused on your own protection are trash. there was a time when i respected you. but now, you've changed
"and now you cant figure out why you've lost to me..."
pein has also seen it, hanzo was far from the man he used to be because he had lost faith in his goal and indeed himself.
he sold himself and his country to protect himself because of that and THAT was his downfall.

he didnt notice this which again was his downfall. the two equals clashed head to head, one of the strongest shinobi vs one of the strongest samurai. and the sharpest one won. the sharpness of their "weapons" was measured in faith
this is hanzo telling everyone he had lost his faith and became nothing, yet he himself didnt truly understand the words he said and the power they had.
anyway that is my opinion.
also i think chiyo was refering to battling the poison that hanzo uses rather than actually fighting hanzo himself.
i mean she is a medical ninja is she not.
good chapter and i wish everyone who suffered in this massive natural disaster a speedy recovery in everything. spiritual, physical and financial.
