Heres my dilema, did naruto ever learn/use Substitution jutsu(replace himself with nearby object ex. woodblock) in the anime or manga?? I'm having a discussion:flaw: with a fellow narufan and we are needing help.

No i just think he's relied on shadow clones instead of substitution.

its a fan fiction and not to mention there are plenty of techniques in ff naruto uses that he hasnt learnt in manga yet

erosenninthethird@ You kind off missed the point of the thread. The question is if he's able to use it in the manga/anime. FF has nothing to do with it.

My view of it is that substitution tech. is one of the most common ones and that everyone are able to do it, just that they never (rarly) uses it...

im aware of that, but i was having a discussion with someone about if it was a new jutsu or an old one since his FF takes place 16 yrs after the current manga. i said new one cause i dont recall him ever using it. He learn shadow clone because he couldnt use substitution.

The question was whether it was a new jutsu or an old jutsu of naruto's. Since he never learned it in the manga it would technically be a new jutsu in ur FF.

Maybe, but I still believe everyone is able to pull it off though as it's a basic ninja skill.

if ur saying that the jutsu is new to naruto ,then yes. i dont think ive ever seen him use it manga/anime

But he never could use it, thats why he had to learn Kage Bushin No Jutsu which is a jounin level jutsu if i remember correctly. Thats why everyone was so impressed that naruto could use it before anyother jutsu.

He couldn't learn the basic Bushin no jutsu you mean, but he learned kage bushin no jutsu instead.

Kawarimi no jutsu is another case, as far as I remember, Kakashi and Sakura have been seen using it. No one else comes to my mind, but it doesn't mean they can't use it as well though.... Dunno.

Okay, I don't know if I am right but I think he used the Body Replacement Tech (same as substitution) in the Episode 3/4 of Shippuden Anime

It's when fighting Kakashi along with Sakura! Try check it out!

Otherwise, I don't think I've seen it except in some fillers, perhaps!
