neji would block off kisame's chakra, but he doesn't need chakra to use his sword, which would in turn steal Neji's chakra, which Neji actially needs to be an effective fighter. quite honestly, the chakraless Lee would be a better match against Kisame than Neji.
Dude True Neji is a Jounin and all but I don't think he is ready for Kisame
Kisame can do mid long and close range attacks but neji is mainly close range, then there are the power levels which kisamie far exceeds neji in.

what if it's deva path versus kisame? listen to yourself! you keep making really easy matchups. deva path's going to use his gravity manipulation to separate kisame from his sword. then, he's going to pull him in at full speed to impale him on his chakra rod. no ifs, ands, or buts!

I'm going to have to agree with this, why does everyone write off neji so soon? Its a mistake to use the level he was at when he fought naruto as a reference for his abilities......an unknowable outcome.

neji's very good he is the most gifted in the hyuuga clan and most talented (samething hahh) but kisame is a S-rank criminal who used to belong to the seven swordsmen of the mist and was running shit when the mist was referred as the blood mist village. if you go by resumes kisame is more dangerous and with the greatest and strongest sword of the mist the samehada kisame takes it. he has also been called the tailess bijuu. put it this way kisame beat up bee before the sword switched sides. if neji can beat killer bee he has a chance at beating kisame.

kisame did'nt really beat up bee, it just appeared that way. Furthermore, you can't use logic like that because mite guy beat the living crap out of kisame, all on his own, so then if neji is close to beating guy, he'd definitely beat kisame.....guy is neji's sensei and its hard to believe neji is'nt close to beating him as he always pawnd lee, guy's photocopy.

true. with bringing up Guy into the mix Neji seems a lil bit more powerful and maybe a fight between Kisame and Neji would be a close one after all.
btw Kisame did beat Bee up. Bee needed his bro to help finish Kisame off. and if it appears that way than it is what it is right?!

Neji is probably the most talented Hyuuga in his clan. the Hyuugas are one of the strongest clans and the Gentle Fist is one of the most strongest martial arts. Kisame S rank criminal, Mist Swords man and chakra level of that of a tailed beast.
Neji could seal Kisame's chakra points. but Kisame steal has Samehada which has plenty of chakra reserves and can steal chakra from Neji. now question is can a chakraless Neji still fight Kisame?!? is Gentle Fist still powerful without the chakra flowing to the oppenents body severing chakra points and channels through the users fingertips?!
good question.. Gentle Fist is still a taijutsu, maybe it might even be a nintaijutsu considering the chakra thing but Neji is a skilled fighter and i think he'd give Kisame a run for his money. Guy is his Neji's teacher and beat Kisame many times and Neji is at the same level as Guy maybe even higher cuz you know what they say, "younger generation surpassing the older".
im going to be the oddball and say my money's on Neji. in that battle Neji might whip out some lion looking chakra hands like Hinata did with Pain and come out with the underdog win
