as i see you approch with a huge attack, i instantly focus my chakra and make a rat seal and i make my shadow and connect with yours, about 1m infront of me... so that blocked your attack and now i can control you

then i take a few steps back, as you do the same and now we are at mid-range. then I pick out asuma's own trench knive(as I am shikamaru), and infuse my chakra into in. you pick out a plain kunia, we both throw our weapon, but since mine has chakra infused, in continues towards you, killing/injuring you.

well i dont think so actually .. O_O

all i did was :

when i charged my chakra and heading towards him i saw the rat seal and by that time i covered 2 metres and he did the seal when i covered 1 metre as he is the one who said 'i immediatly use the rat seal' and i dont think it does'nt even take a second to do one seal that too its a rat seal man.. so when i covered 2 metres 3 metres are left and he said that the shadow joins me when i'm at 1 m distance ( meaning when i covered 4m ) but by that time i did a summersault which which atleast passes another 5 m or so since i am neji, meaning i land behind him in about 2m distance and attacking him quickly since i had already charged my chakra..

this is a basic technique in which the shadow travels through ground

can it travel through air? (i'm not mocking you, i'm really asking xd)

Also one point to make out, even if you jumped above the shadow your shadow would still be affected by the jutsu, since your shadow is still connected to the ground.

I need to point a few things out on this.

1) Akash, you didn't break timeframe because you didn't interrupt his move. He was able to preform it since you said you saw him do the handsign and his shadow extended. However, where you did mess up is in that you didn't use a jutsu to block or avoid it. You just tried to "jump" out of the way, which is against the rules. So you lose right there.

2) But Papaya, you're also partially wrong in the post I just quoted. For the Kage Mane to work, the opponent has to be connected to his shadow. Otherwise you aren't controlling the opponent, you've only connected the shadows. You can connect the shadows while they're in the air or whatever, but until they land and touch their shadow they aren't trapped. At least that's how I've always seen it as.

He misused the language, but in this case he's not really observing the seal rather the flow of chakra, which will be evident to a Byakugan user than a sharingan user so in my opinion it can be done!!!
