Clarify this for me

I have come across in one discussion, the opinion that itachi passed some of his powers to naruto.
I would like to know how true this is and where and when this occured.

This isn't really correct.

He gave Naruto some powers when the konoha ninja's were looking for Sasuke, who was on his way to see find and kill Itachi.

It happened somewhere between the Sasuke vs Deidara and Sasuke vs Itachi fight.

Naruto was under a genjutsu by Itache, as Itache wanted to talk to Naruto. After he found Naruto's answer satisfying enough, he gave Naruto a portion of his power, though he wishes the day that Naruto has to use them never comes.

As to which powers it are, nobody knows for sure at the moment.

The other guy is actually right. This was when they were going after Sasuke... He gave naruto some powers right before his fight with sasuke...Not when they were going after Gaara.

The first time with Chiyo Kakashi sakura and Naruto it wasnt really Itachi fighting...

Indeed, they were fighting someone else instilled with a portion of Itachi's power (if I remember correctly it was a Sand Village Jounin).

It began at the chapter 365 p.g 17 until the chapter 366 end which was basically when naruto was looking for sasuke after he killed oro and went after itachi , and it was later resumed at the chapter 403 which is after jirayia died and the night before fukusaku came to konoha.
