Aren't you forgeting something? Kimmimaru or w/e his name is killed the FOURTH/4th Kazekage. Oro could have summoned him...
Besides, im sure he knew that Minato is sealed in DDS. Even if he already left Konoha by the attack of Tobi he still had plenty of spies to know about Minatos death.

Only way that could be 4th Hokage in the coffin is if Kishimoto originally didn't planed for Minato to be sealed in DDS. It could be smth he thought of while writting the manga.

There are some things in manga that doesn't make sense or that aren't thought through. Like for example Tsunade's parents. Her father/mother is the son/daugher of the Hashirama Senju and Mito Uzumaki, and the father/mother of Tsunade herself. He/she has two of those incredibly powerful bloodlines and yet he/she is a nonfactor not even worth mentioning in the story. That's bullshit, that person should have been in one league with Madara and Hashirama.

The thing that Kishi is making us wait so long to reveal Sasuke's EMS somewhat shows that it may be the strongest power in the manga so far. But it doesn't make any sense. Madara knew that Sasuke with MS was still not good enough to beat him because Madara's Sharingan had a really special power. Madara knows that Sasuke will eventually try to turn on him but he really didn't care so much when he told Sasuke to take Itachi's eyes to awaken EMS. So that means either Madara was sure that his Sharingan was still capable of beating EMS or he had a trump card and we know that it is the Rinnegan. And with his Sharingan it really doesn't look like Sasuke's EMS will be able to harm Madara but from the way Kishi is making us wait I think that Sasuke will be stronger than Madara and Kabuto with his EMS though its a huge guess. Madara might seem invincible but surely he isn't. Konan took Madara so far that Madara had to use Izanagi and Sasuke just like Konan is with Madara so most probably by this time Sasuke might have guessed about Madara's space time techs and its weakness that gives Sasuke the edge with his EMS. Things are looking really interesting plus Kabuto man this is getting intense.

naruto would sense yamato's chakra and will go after zetsu but madara would get in the way and naruto will fight madara for awhile until emo sasuke comes and fights naruto and b4 sasuke tries to kill naruto the power that itachi gave him will unlock itself

hey, this is my first post. Well actually i had a HUDE post but i got logged out so everything i typed got erased and i was too lazy to type it all again. Anyway, this may be completely stupid but i think i might have figured something out that may actually make since.

What if Kabuto actually is, incarnate or something, the Death Demon. Or maybe he like signed a contract or something like that. Just some how is connected to the death demon. I mean, this would explain how he has such a mastery of edo tensei and could allow him to use the people how are owned my the death demon (minato for example). This would also set the motivation for him wanting to like kill all of these people and stuff/ take control of the world. He could have a set amount of people he must sacrafice to the Death Demon (of just for himself if he is the Death Demon) I think i may be on to something here because i actually did predict this war out of the blue way back when Itachi died and Tobi met sasuke. Then again i could be a complete moron here. Your thoughts?

Amazing chapter but its pretty obvious who is in the better position:
you may think that the zetsu army is too strong but if you think about it they are all the same which means as soon as that weakness is found they are ALL dead obviously some shinobi will die in the process but at least they wont lose..
i am worried about the extent of kabuto's power as when he made all the summons he didnt even seem fazed by the chakra he used so perhaps his reserves have DRAMATICALLY increased which is probably why madara looked so shocked.
heres my prediction:
Tsunade, shikamaru, gaara and neji will die only because theyve got fated matches and it only seems fitting that they die
Naruto WONT become hokage, kakashi or konohamaru will, only because i think the fated fight with sasuke will kill him.
lastly naruto, sakura and sasuke ALL die and they become the new legendary sannin

yes, well said, AGAIN. i said something like this earlier.
we've stated this over and over, but some people just refuse to see an obvious interpretation... the third coffin was that of the 4th hokage.
even though he is partly trapped inside the stomach of the demon god, he can still be summoned by edo tensei.

there are more than likely certain restrictions to the edo tensei summons, but at this point, they would be nothing more than assumptions and opinions, as the lack of good evidence is very slim indeed.
i made a whole post about it earlier, and cited many pages as examples to what we do know, but even given that... its hard to say about some things...

how could orochimaru hurt sarutobi more than by bringing out his predecessors and his successor? reminding him just how very old and close to death he and everyone around him is. and then by perverting life through the body snatch jutsu and the edo tensei of his fellow hokages. orochimaru hit him where it hurts, make no mistake.
it just shows the true power of the will of fire that the 3rd hokage believes in so firmly. he didnt cry, he didnt back down, and he didnt falter, he got the job done to the best of his ability. no one could ask more from such a hero.

I agree with u 50/50 obviously the filler arc and movie have absolutely nothing to do with the main story plan..we all agree in the manga that the 3rd coffin was never shown..if u read my previous post u will c my argument about that..

they don't become the new legendary sannin. Makes no sense to reuse a name that's already been associated with 3 specific ninja, and because of very specific circumstances (hanzo). And sakura is far from being a "sage"... so is sasuke.

Secondly, madara's army is the most diverse of all conceivable armies. It's because they're mostly zetsus and can change into whoever they want, whenever they want as long as they touch their enemy. They won't all be hashirama if the first's hokage's weaknesses are found. But the transformed zetsu are weaker than the real shinobi. Or they used to be. But now that madara and kabuto powered them up, it won't be easy for the joint shinobi alliance to deal with them. But madara will not win - he can't win in this manga.

Nope he never did, he did however express concern about the third coffin and, in the manga, prevented its summoning before any of the coffin actually broke the surface of the ground.

Basically he knew that the one in the coffin was dangerous and since oro summoned the first and second hokages first, it makes perfect sense that the third coffin contained the 4th hokage.

As someone mentioned, maybe Kishi hadn't decided at that time how he wanted the 4th to sacrifice himself to defeat the Kyubi.

However, we have seen very good proof Kishi has planned everything out well in advance. An example is how we first see Sasuke's sharingan with 3 total patterns in his 2 eyes during his fight with Haku:

Much later, we see he originally awakened his sharingan with only 2 total patterns:

As we know, Sasuke eventually developed two sharingan patterns in both eyes, I think in the forest of death, and later his 3 pattern sharingan in his epic fight with naruto.

Actually, the most interesting part of this manga was the cover page. I never gave thought Naruto might be able to produce rasengans using pure chakra to mold it without using his hands. If he can truly do that, we might see a whole new power to the rasengan such as having his back towards an enemy when the enemy attacks and suddenly a rasenshurinken appears out of no where to slam into the enemy! Can't wait to see how this new power of his turns out as it's developed! >.<

Eh it really depends on how exactly Kishi goes about it. If the zetsus are defeated quickly, which would most likely happen by Kabuto's hand, or if Kabuto is taken out quickly, than the war may not take as long.

I honestly see the war taking 75+ chapters with at least one villian, likely Kabuto, still alive at the end of it and possibly a culminating battle with Madara. I also think Naruto and Sasuke will meat again/ fight during the war but both of them surviving to fight again.

I still think that there will be another 2.5-3 year time skip a short time after the war is done, followed by another 250+ chapters (or so I'd like to think) before Sasuke is killed/ sacrifices himself and both Madara and Kabuto are defeated. Of course that would be followed by Naruto becoming Hokage

wow, i didn't even recognized them as rasengan. first i was wondering what these balls represent. like some other form of the tails, but there are only 6 not 9 so i forgot about that.
but you're totally right! the swirl makes it very obvious that it's rasengan. i really wonder what that means. maybe for defense? though i'm not a fan of the idea of using rasengan for defense...
