Guess we wasted time with this
This is probably the ability I know most about canonically since Nagato is my favorite character in Naruto. I'll try to sum it up and summarize it in the ways that translate to the RP. I'm ready to use this bad boy.About damn time.
Ight tell me what you know about the Rinnegan
Firstly, what does "Immunity to visual genjutsu" mean in the rp?This is probably the ability I know most about canonically since Nagato is my favorite character in Naruto. I'll try to sum it up and summarize it in the ways that translate to the RP. I'm ready to use this bad boy.
So it comes with what most doujutsu come standard with. It can of course see chakra and that actual chakra flow of opponents. You can make "chakra rods" used to create corpses for your paths. Not sure if I can personally do this but overall it is capable of this. You have automatic adept mastery over all basic five elements, able to perform them with increased and halved speed of handseals. You gain immunity to Visual Genjutsu of all kinds.
And most importantly, you get access to the six (7) paths. These six (7) paths include deva which allows you to manipulate gravity, asura path which allows you to manipulate technology and weaponry, the human path, which deals with manipulating people's souls and reading others' minds, the animal path, which is my favorite, which allows you to summon various unique animals that may all do different things and have different specialties in battle, the preta path which allows the user to absorb chakra, the Naraka path which allows you to summon the "King of Hell" which is an entire skill kit on its own both canonically and in the RP, and the outer path which is the 7th path and to my knowledge the "final" path, allowing you control over life and death, access to chakra chains and the ability to summon the the demonic statue (Gedo Mazo?).
Nagato was seen to be primarily the outer path (if I am not mistaken) while controlling the other bodies that encompassed the other six paths. Totaling seven paths. For clarity, the 6 Paths of Pain were an optional and functional way for Nagato to use the other six paths while immobilized while he, himself, was shown to encompass all seven both before getting paralyzed and after resurrection in the war, not needing the other six paths to be split up into other bodies rather using all seven paths himself.
Further more, if you are able to catch a body, they will encompass a rinnegan and you will be able to see exactly what they see. This is also the case for the animal path summons. Allowing the user above and beyond visual awareness. However, this rinnegan is simply a projected copy of the original wielder's. Not a physical, transferable one.
I think that about sums it up. I do have questions but I will wait until it inevitably comes up when we are going through each path.
So from my understanding, any visual Genjutsu from a 3T on down does not affect me. It simply will not work. Not sure if this applies to MS or EMS but I know this to be true with 3 tomoe on down.Firstly, what does "Immunity to visual genjutsu" mean in the rp?
What is the limits of the paths?
How does having path hosts work?
Go into those details for me please.
Ask all your questions now if you wish.

I don't understand this question. I mean, you can only have two paths active at the same time at any given time if that is what you are asking. So like, animal and naraka, or outer and asura. But only two at a time.
Alright. So being I am not Nagato, can I still gather corpses (up to 6) to channel paths through? Or is that specific to Nagato only? I don't know how gaining paths work in the RP so that would be one of my questions. Guess it kind of ties into the first thing I asked. What technique do I use to do this? Do I do this on other RPers or NPCs or both? If I can do this on RPers, how does this work? Can I take a body in the NW? The BA? If I get one in the BA, can I use it in the NW?
No further questions at this time. Perfect answers. What does visual mean though?
You can only ever have 2 paths active. After a month activating/changing a path becomes passive. Even though it's passive you can't do it at the same time as another jutsu.
You can make your own six paths like Nagato. It is the six paths technique. You can see this through Obito's use of the rinnegan when he turned the former jinchuuriki into his own paths.
Gaining a path is either killing someone and rodding up their body. Could do this as missions in the nw but they wont be able to use jutsu outside of the path they are given. Only other option is edo tensei. They will be able to use jutsu but abide by edo tensei rules.
The technique for it we will go over later.
Technically you can't die in the NW so that wouldn't work and if you got it in the BA you could use it in the NW. But character wise you'd probs have to skin the body as I'm sure you're understand.
It's not just doujutsu, it's any gen that relies on you to see something. You're not immune to sound genjutsu for example. No further questions at this time. Perfect answers.
Visual genjutsu meaning ones that require the user to look into the eyes of the opponent. Won't work. Immune.
So besides the paths, the Rinnegan grants the user the ability to see pools of chakra and chakra flow. When you resurrect a body through the Outer Path or Edo Tensei (?), these bodies share a "reflection" or replica of the user's Rinnegan, granting them access to the vision of these bodies however it is not a real, tangible Rinnegan eye. This is also the case with the summons through the animal path. So while it doesn't have the near perfected omni-directional sight of the Byakugan, it grants the next best thing or even better, depending on the scenario as you will be able to see through the eyes of other bodies and animals simultaneously. You obviously have perfect vision and and heightened tracking abilities. Most/all users of the doujutsu have access to their own special techniques which are very different but are all linked to what the Rinnegan has access to, such as Madara's being Limbo Clones and Urashiki's being clairvoyance (which is broken as hell) and time manipulation.
This explanation was not big because most of what the Rinnegan can do was aforementioned in the previous post explaining the paths themselves which is the bread and butter of the doujutsu.
Question: Am I able to activate my Rinnegan when I want or in the case of custom Rinnegan, is it always active? I ask this for both RP purposes and battle purposes. Do I walk around the NW with crazy looking eyes or only when I want them to be seen? Do I start a battle and immediately have to activate them because they are technically never off? How does that go?
I know I know! I just didn't know which applied to me PERSONALLY. Lol Didn't know which one a custom one would be more like. So basically I have regular eyes and can turn them on and off as I please? That's dope.Shame on you. Thought you were a huge Nagato fan!
Nagato had the rinnegan implanted into him due to him being an Uzumaki with a huge chakra pool. The eyes were already in the rinnegan state. Same with Kakashi, he can't turn off his sharingan.
You will be activating it. You wont have the stages of sharingan, you will be more akin to Hagoromo who could activate his.
Which path would you like to start with?

Okay cool. Animal Path.
Man I explained all that shit in the other post. So basically the animal path gives you access to the canon animals the animal path has access to. The dog, the bird, the chameleon, the panda, the ox, the rhino, and the crab. These summons come exclusively with their own unique set of abilities but I do have questions.Ight what is the animal path and what's its limits?

Can the animal path summon edo bodies or other path bodies? Also I understand that the animal path cannot summon custom contracts. Is that true? Can they summon weapons? What is the scope of their summoning? Or are they locked into summoning just canon animals that I mentioned?
I'm starting to think you don't actually like Nagato/Pein....
You must be registered for see links
The animal path summons unique summons not animals bound to contracts.
Anyone can summon weapons.
You can make custom rinnegan summons. I made Snorlax and Eevee.
You didn't mention that summons can be linked to the user's vision. Stop slacking.

Because I already did it damn it.
Fair enough. I actually did just think it was just animals they can summon. But they cannot summon custom contracts, right? Can they summon custom weapons? Can they summon other summoning related things like the rashimon?
That is absolutely sick. So you can make custom Rinnegan summons but back to my previous question. For example, I have ladybugs. Can they summon ladybugs?
