[Discussion] How climate chage impacts you personally?

For example until recently the summer was so hot in my country that 40°C temperature was already common instead being just a few days during the summer.
The winters have less snow and they are shorter, spring and autumn give extreme weather moments like freezing days after the trees started to bloom or autumn storms with very cold days.

My main problem is the low amount of snow, which makes it almost impossible to practice winter sports.

I love the cold. Even when the AC is turned up so high that I'm literally shivering.....love it. I can't stand the heat.

Heat waves are suddenly now common in the summer, while there's less snow in the winter (and there wasn't much to begin with).

Some regions are now far more susceptible towards floods, while others to forrest fires.

The groundwater level is exceedingly low, which is in particular a problem for my own region as it's historically quite swampy.

If the water level would rise too much, the coastal region is screwed. People often reference Holland when they talk about gaining land on the sea, but historically the ones who started with that were the Flemish. As a result a lot of the farmland directly behind the coast is either on or below sea level. So once the water gets over the initial threshold, it could go very quickly very far inland.

I feel like most people, even institutions don't really understand the real threats of climate change. It's framed as if sea levels will become too dangerous or that the world will be constantly on fire. Those threats pale in comparison to what actually will happen. The global south, like India, and many African nations, will have mass famines, this will lead to mass exodus, and as they head towards developed countries, these countries will become more polarized and turn towards more extreme leaders that will ultimately decide to meet these migrants with force.

The difference I see personally?

Summer is much hotter- May June are hottest months here. Where I live climate used to be more temperate. It rained like twice a week in summer.- If it didn't rain for a week we would already complain. But in last few decades, a lot of trees and fruit gardens are gone. Rains have gone down. First time temperature crossed 40 degree Celsius here, it was news. Then 42 now it may cross even 45 degree, yet it's considered normal. Number of snow falls on hills have also decreased.

Meanwhile, frequency of cloud bursts in the Western Himalayan region has been on a continuous rise. Studies cite faster evaporation rates from glacial lakes along side human activities.

The sea level will rise a little bit every year.

This year after the spring started, and all cherry/plums/apple/apricots trees were already blooming, a week of frozen weather destroyed all the cherry flowers alongside the majority of the others flowers on trees.
The consequences were rough, and maybe it happened previously but snowing in april is happening more than before and lasts longer.
