i am not familiar with everyone here on this forum who is playing this game.

It may be a time zone thing.

For example, the past several hours have been overnight pitch dark here in norway, in europe, and this is overnight now for the eastern USA,

So expect things to change in 12 hours from now.

Let's not despair too soon. But yeah fewer people alive and the day starting deep into night for europe isnt a good day start time.

Also, sunday morning after a saturday night is often the slowest time for mafia.

Eastern USA has a lot of sunday morning churchgoers and family folks who dont play mafia overnight on a saturday night.

When so many folks jumped onto my suggestion of Hunty, and Hunty never showed or self-preserve voted, that read like what was about to happen.

My alternative there was to jump on stargate18, or create a three way tie. Didn't seem like the wisest move to do at the last second, and on no discussion.

Please note, there are 9 players alive.

Traditionally there are 3 mafia in a game this size. That means that today is considered "final nine", typically, eliminate correctly or lose the game happens Tomorrow Day, which is Day Four.

That means we are one wrong guess away from a serious problem.

4 townies versus 3 mafia, is the smallest town can get, before town loses. That would be tomorrow, if things go poorly today.

We have 6 townies and 3 mafia, most likely.

There's strategy behind this situation, specifically, "the day before the day you can't guess wrong or you lose."

There's a term for it, eliminate correctly or lose Minus One Day, shortened to "Elim/lose -1"

Sounds kind of specific, but here is how it works. If we were to hold on to our secrets until tomorrow, meaning, our roles and information, what ends up happening is the mafia team can just tell lies, and there's not enough time to punish them if we believe their lies once.

Here, there IS time. So, this is generally the day when a full "mass claim" happens, because tomorrow is mechanically too late. There's no margin for error.

So, if you're new to these kinds of games, today is the day when we should claim our roles and information, cop checks if we have them, hidden information.

You are not allowed to quote your role PM, but you can say what sort of role you are and what youve been up to all game.

If you're town with no powers, it's good to say so, if you have powers that you haven't claimed yet, today is the last day to do so and still be believed.




I strongly believe it is to everyone's (town) benefit to claim our powers and power usage from night one onward.

Honestly this is my first time playing the game and been sort of following along on all of it i will be more active once im on my pc

So very unfortunate that we lost a doublevoter. I am a vanilla townie. I think Kirikoe is the most wolfy and they are trying to dodge the suspicion post Elmage's elimination.

if this game is 11-3 which i think it is, the ratio is already town favored so it makes sense for mafia to have a doctor to counterplay town's 1x vig

kinda doesnt make sense for town to have stargate's role since stopping a wolf kill in a 11-3 setting is pretty devastating for mafia. means the team wud need ~5 mislynches to win on top of 2 townies being cleared by the successful protection which is brutal for mafia from a game design standpoint

i do think given hunty's flip im probably getting played by someone in my town reads, might be luigi (sigh)

adding to bolded - it's much more likely for mafia to have the doctor in order to counterplay the 1x town vig as it would be just as devastating for mafia if the vig got one of them

mostly cuz i think the way he positioned around these flips come off as though he wants to wash his hands off them but it could be me paranoia speaking. cant be bothered to make an official case in this site tbh. guillo put it best - he's a good slot to be copped / solved mechanically. yaps too much to relay too little and idk if this is normal for them specifically or is supposed to be wolf indicative
