I have played it, although only so far.

I really enjoyed and liked the game tbh. It would be nice if they included a better mix of magic weaponry though

Magic was really tough in the beginning tbh. When I started getting eternal spells and better gear and skill tree effects, things got much better. But yeah definitely just having a wand and staff are quite limited.

I wanted to play a magic swordsmen kind of build, it would have been nice to have melee weapons that dealt magical damage, some of the swords gained, like the blacksmiths firesword (can't remember the name) was really cool.

Arrows were a lot stronger range wise than magic as well. I did enjoy having the blink skill for a dodge tho and would have liked getting the passive tick damage from the wizard fire tree

Haven't heard of it. Maybe I'll check it out. Recently, I've been into narrative games as well as action RPGs and the occasional Souls games, but it looks like it might be fun

If you like building, you'd love Enshrouded. The building system is amazing. I just started playing nightreign. Its pretty good though some teammates irk me.

A magic sword would be so good. The sad thing about arrows is that you need to constantly replenish them. There's an eternal arrow but its quite weak.
I think they might incorporate more stuff though with the new water biome coming out in October.

I've never tried Nightreign. In this part of the world, Souls games are not as popular, and I didn't have any friends who played Elden Ring.
I loved Elden Ring, and Nightreign seems fun, but playing with randoms would be a nightmare, especially since there would be crazy latency due to my location.
These days, I enjoy the sweet comfort of single-player games
Speaking of games, I think you should check out Expedition 33 if you love games with great narratives. It's a turn-based game, but it has jumps, parries, dodges, and special attacks. Certianly my game of the year so far.

Actually I've gotten really good teammates more often than I've gotten crap ones. Give it a go, I think you'd like it. I had to get used to the fast paced world lol.

Yeah, I mean, it's got the Elden Ring combat, so I'll probably try it out eventually.
And yeah, you should totally check it out. It's like a turn-based Souls game; it's basically what Final Fantasy should have been.
