Oh I love this question. Honestly I wanted it to be Madara. He was hyped up so much just for two gods' mother to be like "yeah so I'm here and you're all going to die". That was so lame. I love Kaguya. Love the concept of her and her family. She could have been involved in so many other ways. I was so upset when the story didnt stick to ninja and went into this crazy alien spiral. So unnecessary and omits everything about ninja up until that point. Sucks. I remember when Naruto was little and it was about hand to hand combat, stealth, techniques. By the end it was about who has the bigger susano, who had the most special eyes, and gods. Waste of story. A complete waste of the story.

Honestly thought Zetsu or Obito was going to be the final villain with the help of Akatsuki or whoever was left that was down for their original cause. Then the Madara plot twist came and I thought it was going to be Madara which I was also absolutely okay with. And then it spiraled. Fun watch but it had a very rando ending in my opinion. If I had a preference for a final villain, I probably would have cut it at Madara or maybe even Nagato. Story could have went a lot of different ways logically.

For real, less big and more focused on character development and character driven story with the konoha eleven and Naruto woulda been top tier anime more than it is
