I understand a hesitation for migrating to discord, and how good it is to use a forum, the only reason i say discord is because, and mostly as a generalization, most socializing is done through discord. Forums have effectively died off, so if the admin team do want growth or new members, it might be the way to grow. However if they can find new members while keeping the forum, that would be amazing, it would be fantastic.

It might be as suggested, breaking up sections into different mediums maybe. Discord might work best for more of the discussion type threads and sections, spoilers and stuff etc. The forum might be best kept for the RP or contest submissions etc.

I think a big part of this sites appeal was having the manga available to consume. Obviously we can't bring that back due to copyright issues.

Traffic is key, yeah. Spoilers, theories, big manga threads, that's what pulled people in back then.

Not sure the same formula works now, but it's worth exploring. Let's look ahead. If you've got ideas, throw them in.

We did lose quite a number when NB moved to AB and added a discord for a while. It ended in a split instead of adding to it.

However, I don't know what Zise has in mind.

Correct. Which is why the context of my post is one of caution. It’s quite literally starting over which is extremely risky. It would be losing sight of what has kept those of us who remain, here.

So to clarify, I was advising against such a drastic move (even creating a new website).

Some of the feedback was suggesting a shift to other platforms.

I think the ninja world needs an unknown exploration side of things, not just an overriding story.

Change the rift system to dungeons which change with each venture. They have levels. The levels are randomly generated. There are plenty creative minds to contribute to something like this.

I play WoW and have done for more years than I care to count and trying to just wait to beat a world ending event got tiresome. The side content of exploration and puzzles actually became more fun.

Just throwing out a thought.

The forum could thrive by helping others thrive. I’m thinking of artists, writers, and content creators. Essentially people who produce "entertainment". There has already been art and fanfic contests here, so the concept isn’t far-fetched. The forum could become a hub where they - and people who show interest - gather. They could promote YouTube videos discussing the latest manga chapters or showcase their artwork. This could boost traffic and help build communities within the forum.

I understand that there are rules regarding promoting/advertising, but again, just an idea that crossed my mind.

Edit: Content creators could promote their videos here in exchange of mentioning the forum either in their video or the video description (with a link).

I'm as close to that now as I've ever been. Done got a tenseigan and the RP died lmao Just my luck. Guess taking two years to train suiton wasn't the ideal timeframe.
