In Buddhism, hand seals are called mudra and channel energy depending on what you want. Such as, using mudra for meditative practice or for health purposes

Mudra is a Sanskrit word which stands with various meanings: Seal, gesture, mark, currency etc.

So did I. But many of us know the series from back then. Some maybe have just started reading/watching it now or recently.

I didn't know. Personally I like martial arts. If I was in Japan or China I would train. I know some basics when it comes to meditating and stuff like that and I can tell you it's not simple as it seems

There must be schools teaching some martial arts in your own country... People don't have to go all the way to Japan to learn it.
The meditation and hand seals are more related with Yoga than actual martial arts.
