The only conditions are this:
- you can only use your technique for work or for finding a job - preferably your dream job
- you only get one technique, no related techniques, no development of new techniques
- you can only use your technique at your current workplace or for current job requirements, like working from home

You're onto something here. A lot of these abilities are only really necessary in death or life scenarios.

Reason being they are invented for killers. Other reason being we can live normal life without them, so only similar scenarios - death or life - would call for them.

Still, something like sensing is great to avoid car accidents - truck driver. Invisbility for a journalist. Chakra enhancement for a sportman. Water Prison for bomb defuser. And so on.

Reason there is simple as well. Life connects to the parts of it, so things relevant to direct life and death are relevant to the parts of life, including our 'artificial' inventions like jobs.
