Its ok, I don't like confrontation either. But, like me you should train yourself not to let other ppl walk over you. Don't take shit from anyone. Got a bad tenant? Just say it to them and with certainty

I kicked out a few tenants myself years ago. Just do it.

in his case ..op had friend and that friend used to be nice to him..but teh same friend was abusing and harassing his gf...so OP was in moral dilemma should i help teh girl and ignore my friend???...or should i just mind my own buisness cuz he's been good friend to me..OP finally made decizion and called police on his friend...and his friend felt betrayed and got very mad at OP...

OP is afraid that his friend will revenge and do something bad to him..

Harrassing my gf would be a death sentence to that "friend"

No time to be timid

He also stole money from OP, if I remember correctly. And doesn't really treat him like landlord. Just gives him "we are bros" treatment to keep his mouth shut.

it can be true he stole he's money...but maybe chikonbo still consider him as friend....after all he knows his friend better then us..

if i were chikonbo i would've invistigated little more...maybe that gf had it coming....but still harassing girls in bad way is uncalled for..

You got a point. Women can be shady. But, in his case I doubt it. Too much disrespect already.

Friendships should constantly be evaluated. In my group; I've known most of them for nearly 20 years but one mishap and I'd have no problem cutting them out for good.

You want him gone? You evicting him over a personal relationship or he has breach his contract or he has become an danger to you and other tenants (or just you)? Is their any proof? Have you contacted the police? You don't want it to backfire and get sued. If you do get sued, you at least have the law on your side.

Yeah, what Yursix said. My understanding is the law works in the tenant's favour often, not easy to kick out.

If there's no lease, then you can claim you were letting them stay with you for a while, but want them gone. And they borrowed money, but never gave it back to you.

I've given my tenant slack because she lost her job. She has two years of paying on time though. I have no obligation to do that. The last tenant I had destroyed my house, cost me $12,000 in repairs, and fled in the middle of the night. It took me a month to enter my own home once the eviction notice was served, despite the fact the house was empty. Your ethical obligation is to provide them with a domicile that meets the legal standards set by your country/locality. Their ethical obligation is to abide by the contract and pay on time. If they are in breech of their end of the contract you have every ethical right to evict them.
