Description: A deeply wooded area nearing the standards of the Amazon Jungle. Thick vegetation and flowing rivers/creeks are found around nearly every large stump or moldy boulder. Centered within the jungle (and the primary starting point, as depicted in the image) is an "ancient" village in ruins; overgrown and abandoned. Though it seemed untouched, the buildings are built sturdy and have held to the test of time, by-and-large being constructed mostly of stone and the jungle wood itself.

I'll be using my Chise Hatori biography from my signature (click the picture). You can post the bio you wish to use and you may have the first move to start us off if you'd like.

It had been what felt like a few months since Chise had been taken under Lena's wing as the woman's student. She had taught her many things and in such a seemingly short span of time. Lena wasn't shy toward the "trial-by-fire" method of teaching; exposing Chise to extreme conditions quite frequently and constantly shifting the goalpost in an effort to keep her on her toes at all times. But now stood a peculiar circumstance: Chise had been given a location she was meant to venture to, with no real rhyme nor reason in any form of explanation to clarify the purpose of this separated meeting point away from their standard location they had undertaken most of her training.

Being introduced to the vast jungle's edge, Chise stood just outside of it's canopy with Ruth at her side. She felt an eeriness looming at the nape of her neck that she couldn't quite place the reasoning for. She hadn't been told what to expect or why she was meant to be here, yet something felt.. less than hospitable about the choice of scenery for their "rendezvous" location. But she was here now, and hesitation was hardly an option now. No doubt that, if her mentor was in fact within the jungle, she likely already knew Chise had arrived. Her capacity for chakra detection was impeccable and quite frankly, rather disturbing. Knowing that her presence was always at risk of detection without even knowing it left a constant sense of being watched. This of course wasn't necessarily something she was new to, but it certainly left much to be desired regardless of her familiarity to the sensation...

With little reason to waste any more time, Chise took her first venturing steps into the jungle, making her trek toward it's center as linearly as she could manage. She truthfully was in awe of the greenery and biology of her surroundings, but her task at hand gave her no immediate freedom to appreciate it at the moment. Along her path in her approach toward the central abandoned village, Chise had taken it upon herself to begin dispersing a small collection of seeds that she had grown from a pooling of her mokuton chakra, producing them from her very own body for her to then distribute through the area around her as she moved, trying to create a perimeter around the ruined village. Whether it was meant for Lena or something else, she didn't really have anyone particular in mind, only caring for the sense of security it provided her.

Turning her focus toward Ruth, she provided a silent nod that was reciprocated by her animal companion before she began her move into the ruins of the village, planning to "look about" until Lena would arrive.

Description:
One of the Three Great Dōjutsu (San Daidōjutsu), the Sharingan is the kekkei genkai of the Uchiha clan. Unlike the other Dōjutsu, not all members of the Uchiha Clan possess the Sharingan. This great Dōjutsu seems to awaken only on exceptional Uchiha members and only in times of great stress. Once awaken, the pupil turns red and a single tomoe (巴) seal appears around the center pupil. As the user masters and evolves their eyes, the tomoe (巴) seals increase, topping 3 per eye. The main ability of the Sharingan, like any other Dōjutsu, is to enable the user to see the flow of chakra. This ability is further improved as the Sharingan gives color to chakra, enabling the user to differentiate chakras from different people or from different sources. Although the user can see chakra through matter, he cannot see beyond dense matter or in long distances. Coupled with the ability to see chakra, Sharingan users gain acess to an incredible clarity of perception that enables them to read insanely fast movements or minor details, enabling them the ability to foresee in an easier way, traps, incoming attacks, etc. This clarity of perception is so great that a Sharingan user can sometimes start performing a counter to an attack that is still being performed, enabling the counter to be launched only a split a second after the attack. This clarity of perception leaves Sharingan users able to track high speed movement easily as well as to read through handseals. This last ability enables them to learn techniques much faster and sometimes copy them directly from the enemy, as long as the user has the necessary chakra affinities and requirements to perform it. Finally, the Sharingan is often linked to Genjutsu and mind-manipulating illusions, mostly because the user can, mostly through Eye Contact, directly and precisely use his chakra to manipulate the enemy's chakra flow. In return, the users clarity of perception gives him the ability to more easily decipher visual illusions cast upon him and see past them. The Sharingan has a great cost to the user though. The chakra consumption disables its use for long periods of time and, even when the user grows stronger, it's still hard to keep it active for long periods of time.
Note: The user, if he hasn't gained full mastery over his Sharingan, will need to spend a move to activate it, although as long as he has chakra and enough stamina he'll be able to keep it active until the end of the match. If the user is Sannin Rank or above and has gained his 3 Tomoe Sharingan and held it for one month, he becomes able to passively activate it, meaning he'll no longer spend a move of his 3 per turn.

Description:
Songbird is a Large Community of Barnacles formed together to take the look of a Mechanical looking Bird, easily dwarfing a person as he can pick them up with just one of his two talons. The bird barnacle community is tough and sturdy and like most has large wings capable of flight, with a massive wingspan of 15 meters . When summoned by either the normal summoning jutsu or by swiping blood on the tattoo and performing a hand seal Songbird will be summoned mid flight soaring high in the sky as it appears from a cloud of smoke. Songbird has been said to be able to fly through anything, what this has been adapted from is the fact that Songbird can swim through normal water like it flies through the air (being made of Barnacles, a water based creature).

Songbird is sensitive to sounds, this can trigger a reaction which would be a threat to the opponent. The User can trigger the reaction by whistling a certain tune only contract signers know and which songbird can hear - this is not in any way a sound jutsu and other barnacle communities, kozui and mecha can whistle this tune if they are on the field also (Triggering it this way costs a Move out of three). However the opponent can also trigger it by using a Sound Release jutsu, a Lightning Technique or a Genjutsu that needs sound as a medium. What comes next is the Songbird's attack, a Divebomb of sorts which has the bird shoot down at great speed, increasing it's weight and solidity through Earth Release to make it drop faster - hitting speeds twice that of base Kage-rank bios. The Bird will not simply swoop the opponent up however, they will full on hit the earth with all it's strength (S-Rank) and this is where the Songbird's second ability comes in. When hitting the Earth Songbird burrows through it like an advanced version of "hiding like a mole technique" not losing it's speed as it drags the opponent through the ground, crushing and bashing them against the rocks. IF the opponent by chance dodges the technique, songbird will pop up later from underneath carrying the opponent into the air and in it's beak and throws the opponent to the ground.

Finally, Songbird flies around the Sky automatically when not attacking, defending against anything that comes from it - solidifying it's body to become that of an S-Rank Earth Defence (at the expense of a move). It flies above the user defending them easily. User can command the bird not to defend if it suits. Like all Barnacles Songbird has a strong calcite shell worth B-rank neutral t the elements except lightning which is strong against it and water which is weak.

The loud flap of a bird's wings erupted from the silent ruins that Lena had already settled in, Songbird floated down to her side at the very top of the village, both of them looking down at Chise - the Sharingan more prominent from Lena's eyes than ever. Lena bit her thumb and trickled the blood on her tattoo, following that up by running her hand across the surface of Songbird's body infusing him with more power, the bird reconstructing itself at the same time no longer taking the form of a large bird but a more Chimera-esque appearance, a Sabretooth tiger's face and body with the same Large Wings it originally had and a coiling dragon/serpent Tail. Songbird now with a more aggressive appearance growled in the direction of Chise as she approached.

"We are enemies Chise, so treat me like one and I will respect your decision to come here and Die."

Songbird roared as he leaped from the top of the steps, crashing down against them in a zig zag like fashion closing in towards Chise. Lena remained stood at the top of the stairs, peering down at the fight as it was initiated. Songbird manipulates the ground, pulling the earthen stairs apart to create a wave of earth which it rides the rest of the way over to Chise coming from above her the rocks would crash into her first followed by Songbird pouncing onto her as she is pushed across the floor it's sabretooth teeth coming to clamp around her torso.

Description: Power Reconstruct is a specialized technique known to the Barnacles who are considered “communities” among the contract much like Oregon and Arbiter. Due to how their bodies are structured, they are capable of using the innate ability they possess in order to reshape themselves into new forms. Through the manipulation of the tendrils that keeps them together and adjusting of the position of the barnacles they can attain new forms such Oregon changing into the form of a dragon or wolf as opposed to his normal state, allowing for more unique variety and twist among them. They cannot grow taller than they already are though can become shorter in height if needed, while retaining all their original abilities. One unique application of this technique can also be applied if in the instance of a single Acorn Barnacle is existing on the field, through which the user can summon a mass amount of barnacles together allowing for the single barnacle to join together in order to form a new community of barnacle capable of roaming around the battlefield in order to assist the summoner while retaining the ability to use Barnacle Arts much like other like other communities, while the single acorn barnacle acts as the “brain” of the community. This technique can only be used by Barnacles who are considered “communities” while creating new communities can only be done once per turn.

The Summon with these infused can use all Techniques of their chosen element with no hand seals up to B-Rank. If you infuse barnacles of the same affinity as the summon then they will be able to use techniques up to all ranks with a +10 damage boost.

who is the personal summon for Chise. The user, following one of the typical means of summoning, whether it be through hand seals, a summoning scroll, or summoning tattoo, bring forward the Church Grim Ruth. Ruth is a large, jet black canine with red eyes that consist with the characteristics of a Church Grim. He stands roughly 4 feet in height and approximately 6 feet in length from tailbone to snout, but up to 22 feet long in total when accounting for the maximum length of his tail up to 16 feet independently. As an A-rank summoning, Ruth is capable of performing the two basic elements of Earth and Fire that the Church Grim is known for; manipulating their Chakra with precision and efficiency that allows them to perform up to A-rank techniques from both elements without the need for hand seals or gestures. Exceptionally, due to Ruth's nature as a Church Grim and their natural affinity for the Earth Element, Ruth is capable of performing up to two S-rank Earth techniques per encounter. Finally, like all Church Grim, Ruth is capable of performing the natural ability of biting (A-rank damage) twice per encounter, while tackling and clawing (C-rank damage) can be performed a combined total of four times per encounter, at the cost of one of the user's 3 Jutsu slots per turn each.

The moment Chise had entered into the field, she could feel a familiar intensity cast upon her from overhead: The intent to kill; a threat to her life. Quickly her gaze shifted skyward as she heard the calling words of a voice she recognized. With widened emerald irises, she spotted her mentor --her adversary-- as they spoke of their newfound combative relation. She didn't have time to process whether or not this was a joke, a test, or all of the above: She only knew how certain she was with the seriousness of the woman she now faced off against when it came to these sorts of things, at least initially, so now she had no choice but to react accordingly.

With intense focus, Chise watched and began to channel her lightning chakra in preparation of a need for a counter attack as the Chimera being charged toward her in a descending momentum that carried itself side-to-side in a zig-zag pattern, something she couldn't afford the luxury to try and predict. The beast was far larger than she was used to handling, so the first thing to cross her mind was the need to separate her position from where the beast was most familiar, or force it to separate from it's own position.

Quickly, Chise lifted her hands and began to perform a minimal series of three consecutive hand seals, finishing in time to witness the earth begin to uproot itself at the behest of what she assumed was the Chimera's own manipulation, harnessing her channeled chakra into her palms as she rapidly dropped herself toward the earth, allowing her palms to ram firmly against the ground. In doing so, her chakra discharged outwardly, splitting apart the earth's crust as a triangular manifestation of electricity rushed forward, splitting down center of the wave of earthen debris, separating it like a splitting current and neutralizing it's momentum and mass with ease.

Description: After performing a small sequence of 3 hand seals the user will place their hand on the ground converting their chakra in to lightning. The user then sends an enormous bolt of electricity that cuts through the ground in the direction of the enemy. The shape of the bolt is a triangular with the base in the direction of the user and the tip headed towards the target. With the natural advantage the lightning technique she had used against the earth allowing for it to persevere further than it's initial purpose, she knew full well it'd no doubt stop short of being capable of truly handling the Chimera as efficiently. She needed to reinforce her efforts and quickly. Without hesitation, shortly after the discharge of the lightning attack, she utilized the positioning of her hands still planted against the ground to quickly funnel a harnessing of her water and earth chakras into a conjoined state of a wood based nature, allowing for her to manipulate an uplifting of four dense roots from the ground beneath the Chimera, coiling rapidly around it's four limbs and restricting it in place, aimed to prevent it from effortlessly avoiding the lightning technique's continuous onslaught.

Respective to Chise's own efforts, Ruth took advantage of her initiative to harness his own fire chakra, dispersing it outward surrounding himself and manipulating them into several phantasmal, ghastly creations of fire that resembled demonic skulls and heads alike that each carried forward upon creation, aimed to crash and ignite violently against the opposing summoning in a continuous effort to remove it from the fight at hand as quickly as possible.

In an instant, Chise witnessed the whipping currents of her lightning technique reduced to simple sparks that bounced off of the Chimera as if having collided against a wall of metal; intolerant of the element's conductivity. She needed a fallback, and quickly. Luckily, her current position allowed for the first plan that sprung to mind to be executed with ease; flow smoothly and without delay. Ruth quickly channeled a collective of earth chakra through his form, taking advantage of his direct contact with the ground beneath his paws and channeling a sudden burst of his earthen chakra through the connection made. The chakra flowed into a circular radius surrounding the ground immediately in front of them, spanning a radius that encompassed the entirety of the Chimera and it's own attacks. Within an instant, the ground shot upwards at rapid speeds that would naturally subject the creature to a force of linear momentum that would, at the very least, prevent it from immediately moving against or away from the rapidly developing pillar of stone until it would finish developing at it's peak of 20 meters high.

Description: The user slams his hands on the ground and lowers or raises the ground in the surrounding area at high speeds, allowing them to create giant holes in the ground or avoid attacks. The size of the affected area as well as the depths that it is lowered to is up to the user and rasing earth can be done up to 20 meters tall creating a small cliff or they can create trenches that can be as deep as 20 meters. Other than being moved below ground relative to the surrounding surface the terrain is not altered, plant life and people retaining their same positions.

In the same timeframe as Ruth's own technique being used, Chise quickly sprung off her heels and darted toward the developing pillar. Quickly she rammed her palms into it's base, channeling an large sum of wood chakra through the tower, molding and manipulating it toward the peak with the Chimera in place atop of it. In doing so, the wood sprung from the elevated ground in an encompassing cell solid, dome cell of wood that held in close proximity to the Chimera itself, aimed to prevent it from gaining any form of free mobility for itself and restricting it's efforts to retaliate.

With the Chimera presumably disconnected from the fight, at least for a very brief and temporary reprieve, Chise sprung off her heels backwards, forming a rapid series of two hand seals that kneaded the flowing wood chakra through her veins into a sudden eruption of dense woodland, centered directly beneath the feet of Lena herself. The forest began it's manifestation as several smaller, more rapidly developing trees that seemed to target her directly; manifesting directly beneath her feet with twigs and branches alike threatening to scrape and bludgeon her from multiple directions, only for the forest's development to continue in it's growth outward, growing progressively larger trees the further out from the central point they developing, creating what almost seemed like a "colosseum" of trees, enveloping the surrounding area rapidly, splitting apart the ancient stone stares, sprouting from surrounding buildings and even shredding and replacing nearby trees that had naturally grown there before.

Songbird was moments away from Chise, until the Earth rose up and pushed him up out of the way. It would also be entrapped in a wooden cage, it's blue flaming armour would burn the wood but not be strong enough to destroy it only weaken it. Songbird paced in it's burnt cage.

Meanwhile Lena smirked as Songbird was shot up out of Line of Sight. She manipulates the very wind directly behind Chise, using her Sharingan to pinpoint a decent location. The balls of wind would pop behind Chise exploding and sending her into the very pillar she placed her hands against, slamming and dizzying her but not really causing much hurt, except maybe a bloody head - at least interrupting her(ignore the damage caused by this technique). Lena would slowly walk down the steps.

"Oh Chise. You're doing quite well. I think I'll leave Songbird up there for now."

Although both of them could not see each other right now, Lena's words reached her.

"Your mutt is quite cute. What would you like it to face next? Your choice."​

Lena's hands sprawl out and from her palms two dark strands shoot out and wooden segments tear out of the ground, hitting the strands forming two intricately carved wooden swords around the strands. She holds them out to her side and keeps her grin.

A Technique first created by Angela Bliss but further developed by Lena after she took her heart. The user will create two strands of dark chakra from her marks on the palm of her hands, like whips. Then from the ground Wooden ornamental segments with various kanji and designs engraved on them shoot out from the ground and hit the dark strands, latching onto them until they form a pair of wooden swords with each dark strand fed through them. The user can split the wooden segments at will and essentially have whip swords the segments held together by the dark strands; and then they can have them fix together again into that of normal swords - they can then be sheathed in this form.

The purpose of this technique is to allow for a numerous amount of versatile and fluid, but deadly attacks. The Wooden segments are very sharp and can cut through flesh with ease. When utilised as Whip Swords the user can strike forward and restrict the target with the blade wrapping around the limbs and even sever them if the user pulls on their hilt. This weapon serves great at disarming as well, capable of being manipulated in such a way that it can easily take things off targets. Normal attacks like this only reach short range.

By Command and movement of Lena the swords’ dark strands rapidly extend with more segments seemingly multiplying forwards. The elongated thrusts or slashes or however the user wishes to attack as the dark strands are at his command to twist and turn at any angle will be an S-Rank Wood attack. The power of the attack can be split between the two swords or focused into one, once the sword(s) hit the intended target they will rapidly retreat to their original length. If successfully combated the extra wood and dark is destroyed, but the swords remain intact. This S-Rank attack costs a move in the turn and 40 Chakra dealing 80 damage.

Defensive Charges | 3 Charges. Blissful Legacy can defend against attacks that come within its vicinity according to elemental strengths & weaknesses of Dark Release; the defense is automatic but it can only do this once a turn. The Absorbed chakra will go into the blade and remain dormant. Once all three charges have been used the dark strands will completely retract and the swords will no longer be able to be used as Whip Swords. The engravings on the blade glow a dark purple.
Like most Dark Release techniques, anyone who isn’t the user comes into contact with the whip swords’ blades will be sapped of 40 Chakra and it’ll go straight down the length of the blade and into the User’s Dark Marks for future usages.
The Creation of this Technique can only be done twice per battle.

Chise watched as in an instant she found herself bouncing off of the earthen construct before her. She felt a ringing in her ears, followed by an immediate headache that throbbed everywhere between her temples. Her eyes squinted in a sharp reaction as she stumbled slowly backward, though in a balance footing that was provided by the support of Ruth's extensive tail coiling outward and around her to prevent her from taking any real harm beyond the initial impact. She offered a faint, reassuring nod to Ruth before turning her gaze back up toward Lena as she spoke. She wasn't the first to refer to Ruth in such a dismissive or otherwise disrespectful manner.. something she was starting to grow a recognizable distaste for. Chise couldn't quite figure out why it bugged her so much, or perhaps she did know, but wasn't sure why it was more difficult to conceal than most other things that bothered her...

Lifting a hand and dabbing her fingertips against her forehead to feel at the rough bump that had formed and swelled from the impact of the first technique, she simply let out a soft sigh before shifting her eyes sharply toward Lena. "I was going to ask what the point of all this was.. but you've never really been the sort to provide straight answers; at least not to me. So I guess I don't have a lot of choice but to entertain this.." Gradually, Chise began to conjure a flow of chakra through her system, initially inwardly concentrated toward her lungs. ".. But I have to ask that you don't speak so demeaningly toward Ruth. He saved my life; without him you wouldn't be able to provide this "lesson" to me now. So I would ask he be shown some respect.."

Immediately following her final words, Chise lifted her hands and, after forming them into tight fists, quickly collided her knuckles together, drawing out a heavy breath that then would exhale in a sudden bellowing plume of a dark, thick haze that rapidly began to consume the field. The direct line of sight between herself and Lena had quickly been obstructed and the fumes only continued to spread further out, threatening to swarm over Lena's position in it's entirety.

Description: A technique based on the ( Kirigakure no Jutsu ) - Hiding in Mist Technique. The user will slam both clenched fists together, palms facing down, and release gaseous poison throughout the atmosphere. This gaseous poison will copy a poison in the user's possession and produce it in the atmosphere through the moisture all around the battlefield. This creates a plethora of poison mist that very quickly fills up the area. It not only blocks off the view of the opponent but also surrounds them in a dense poison mist which, if absorbed through the skin or breathed, is then used to drain the opponent's chakra and health. This chakra is not granted to the user, merely being drained from the opponent. If the user doesn't have a sample or source, they can produce a basic variation, with the base effects of chakra and health drain.

With the poisonous, gaseous fog clotting the air surrounding the field, Chise quickly shifted her position into a crouched one, planting her palms flat against the ground as she began to focus inwardly, drawing upon a sudden rush of her water chakra that followed her beckoning will rapidly, granted by her natural affinity for it, swelling predominantly in her legs and feet. As the chakra swelled within her veins, she quickly began to manipulate and guide it's flowing structure before gradually pushing it outward through her own body, manifesting in the form of several miniature, seemingly insignificant parasitic insects that quickly began to scatter across the field, outward from her position. Some began to shuffle rapidly in a straight line toward Lena's position, while others worked in a longer, wider arcing form from the sides, working closer and closer to her in an anticipated effort of reaching her and burrowing into the woman.

Description: The user will perform three consecutive handseals, then followed by the user kneading a great quantity of chakra into their feet. This chakra manifests from the user's legs and feet, making it seem as though water is running down their legs and onto the ground. And in turn, the water is a takes the form of incredible small parasites that'll scatter across the field and cover a large area whilst charging toward a target. Once the parasites reach their target, they'll crawl up the enemy's legs, covering them head-to-toe, while forcefully trying to enter the victim's body via their skin or an orifice. The results range from sever pain to internal bleeding, and to suffocation.

Whilst she awaited for a reaction or something further to stir the field, Chise maintained her firm connection to the ground, taking advantage to begin attuning herself deep into the earth's crust. Her chakra sought out a flowing element within the earth: Veins like that of which carried her own blood through her body, ones that served to carry chakra through the earth so naturally. What she aimed to find was the Ryūmyaku; natural leylines buried deep within the earth that, through the study of a traveler she once met in passing, learned of the capacity of one to harness the very source of the Dragon Veins to amplify her own techniques. But such an effort took time, and now seemed to be the only opportunity that she could hope for, given the hope that despite Lena's Sharingan, perhaps the chakra-infused poison mist would allow for a form of "camouflage" until she'd have the need to retaliate again.

". This technique requires the user has direct contact with the ground, and takes 1 turn for them to "attune" to the flow of the natural leylines of energy. Once they have, all of their techniques that utilize Earth Release Chakra are made considerably more powerful, due to the influence of the Ryūmyaku on their Chakra flow. This boost remains for as long as the user remains connected to the ground. Minor interruptions, such as both feet leaving the ground, only break off the connection if the user remains off of the ground for 1 full turn, after which, they need to spend another turn attuning to the Ryūmyaku. Chise watched as her scuttering water parasites mobilized without consequence, seemingly shrouded to the full effectiveness beyond what she had anticipated with the use of her poison mist technique, allowing for them to eagerly close the gap on their target. Upon arrival, they immediately began to burrow into Lena's feet and legs while progressively crawling further up the rest of her body as well, quickly biting and gnawing at her in a less than pleasant performance before suddenly dispersing on a whim before any real damage could be done as a consequence, leaving Lena drenched in the water the parasites were made of originally. Chise let out a soft sigh of relief to have avoided any real harm from taking place before offering a slow bow toward the woman. "Thank you for the lesson, Lena-Sensei, but.. I need to return to the village. Something has come up and I think it's drastically important. Take care, and until next time." With that, Chise didn't waste another moment, apart from turning to look at Ruth, both nodding in sync before they rushed out of the forest together, leaving the battlefield behind.
