Otherwise, i suppose it should indeed be meaningful, as all choices are.

The problem with making any specific connection (e.g. to their face, personality or somesuch) is that one doesn't know whether the choice (in this case, dps) is a reflection of perosnality, an expression of interests, an attempt at projection, making impressions or any such. So to connect it to anything directly can be a big mistake.
