How important is free will?

Like what if someone took care of you completely, they didn't spoil you as in give you whatever you requested and like just take insults you would throw at them but they would feed you, shop for you, help you, etc in every way.

Would you be seen as a bad person then if you just rejected all of that in pursuit of living independantly? Would you be able to live like that, as if you are someone's pet? Or would you freak out because you would feel victimized or something?

Also would it be worth destroying all of that caretaking since maybe you wouldn't be able to live independantly?

What if a robot controlled all aspects of your life because the robot has higher IQ then you and knows better? Would you be ok with that?
