I don't read novels but all the ones that I've seen an anime adaptation to them were stupid like Sasuke and Itachi Shinden, they were worse than anime filler.

I don't remember them very well since they're filler but Sasuke Shinden made him look weak, stupid, out of character and forget he has a Rinnegan just like in Boruto which is unacceptable to true Sasuke fans and Itachi Shinden made the Uchiha look evil and some how they were alive and they captured Naruto which doesn't make sense and Fugaku had MS and other chaos.

The problems with Itachi Shinden was the filler adaptation, it made the Uchiha look evil. However, the novel made the elders, look bad and oppressive, Hiruzen as incompetent. They kind of altered that in the anime for some reason. It was a fairly decent spray written from Kishimoto's extra material.

How much material did Kishimoto provide to the writers of that novel, I doubt it's enough to make it canon.

It's pretty much written from his excess(unused) material. That makes it Canonish, the same for some of the other novels. I think the only pure filler novels are the Buritto ones.

If I remember correctly then the anime took some liberties with the novel material. I can't remember Fugaku having MS in the novels, but I know he had it in the anime. I think it was implied that he might have had it by Itachi, but I can't remember they outright saying he did have it.

There was no reason to use his Rinnegan in Shinden, and he uses it all the time in Boruto. The kidnapping Naruto scene was Fugaku showing Itachi what the Uchiha would have wanted him to do - capture Naruto to gain control of the Kyuubi, if they knew he had the Mangekyo.

I'm pretty sure he could've useed Amenotejikara to save 2 people from exploding in the stadium but maybe this isn't in the novel???

The Uchiha were still around well into Naruto and Sasuke's earlier years. Everyone in the village also knew what Naruto was from a very early age, minus that he was Minato and Kushina's child it seems. (How you leak that he has Kurama , but not who his parents were is beyond me.)
