You didn't click on the spoiler because I showed where Yamato clearly backs up in chapter 299 and Naruto saying that he needed the Kyubii to defeat Sasuke was much later in chapter 490 not to mention Sasuke stated that he needed Itachi's eyes to defeat.

That's not what I said.

Yamato stated that Kurama wasn't the source of his power, but his own and him saying that he neeeded the Kyubii to defeat Sasuke was a much later statement, so 1 thing has nothing to do with the other and once again Sasuke said that he needed the EMS to defeat Naruto as well, since you want to go there.

At that point relying on Kurama was giving control to Kyuubi, who wanted to and could take over Naruto and Naruto would lose himself. Yamato was absolutely right in reminding Naruto of his own natural strength and to rely on himself.

I remember you. You were the evil vixen who banned me once 5 years ago. Anyway, @ bold - Where are you getting that from? Minato did the work. Split the Kyuubi in half and used a special seal to contain it within Naruto. Even setting it so the Kyuubi's chakra would continuously leak out to mix with Naruto's to enhance it.

Back on topic! Kurama isn't the Naruto's power, but a source like Avani said.

Yamato made this clear in chapter 299 and Naruto did fight to obtain Kurama's power going back to his training with Killer Bee and most of Naruto's chakra was actually being used to keep Kurama at bay as well like Avani said.

Logically he was not only going blind, he was also defeated by Kages and had to be rescued. Multiple times.
Why was he going blind so early? That early blindness for an Uchiha is a major weakness and taking eyes of another can be termed an augmentation to recover from that.
