Then you're pretty much telling Yamato he's wrong because he clearly makes that the caseLmfao k but you’re wrong![]()
Yamato tells Naruto that if he wants to help Sasuke, he should and can do it with his own power. Fast forward a few hundred chapters and Naruto himself is admitting he needs Kurama to take on Sasuke. Yamato has no real grasp of Naruto's strength. Then you're pretty much telling Yamato he's wrong because he clearly makes that the case
You didn't click on the spoiler because I showed where Yamato clearly backs up in chapter 299 and Naruto saying that he needed the Kyubii to defeat Sasuke was much later in chapter 490 not to mention Sasuke stated that he needed Itachi's eyes to defeat.Yamato tells Naruto that if he wants to help Sasuke, he should and can do it with his own power. So what you're saying is that Yamato's statement isn't relevant to chapters that come much later? So you agree with me. Yamato's statement doesn't matter. When people think of Naruto's power, they aren't thinking about the scrub he was at the start of part 2 but the monster he was at the end of it all. Either Yamato's statement is relevant to the entire series or it stops backing your point once the chapters enter the 400/500's.You didn't click on the spoiler because I showed where Yamato clearly backs up in chapter 299 and Naruto saying that he needed the Kyubii to defeat Sasuke was much later in chapter 490 not to mention Sasuke stated that he needed Itachi's eyes to defeat.
Oh and before you say it was because of blindness.

Excellent post!Let's put it this way- Kurama is not the ONLY source of Naruto's power.
Naruto is naturally strong- Uzumaki traits. (Blood line is important in this universe so do not discredit it.)
Minato trusted that trait when he sealed Kurama in a newly born kid. We know the host/jinchuriki has to be strong to keep the bijju in control and not lose itself to it or get destroyed in the process. That, it constantly takes chakra from the host to maintain and in case of Kyuubi to withstand it's chakra.
Naruto trained hard as well and with time could learn more like Jiraiya and be a great shinobi on his own. But Naruto, when able to harness Kyuubi chakra, is stronger.
Yamato was right --He was right because at that time Naruto was not in control of Kyuubi. He was also right that it was Naruto's own strength which could contain Kyuubi power. He also pointed that when Naruto slipped, he was a danger to other people around and to gain control over kyuubi he needed to become stronger on his own first. Relying on Kyuubi was endangering Naruto himself as well as people around him.
Yamato also told him to not see though Kuyuubi's eyes- Kyuubi was always baiting him with easy access to power by giving the control over (or snatching it when Naruto's will got weaker due to emotions like anger and sadness). So Yamato rightly advised Naruto to depend on clarity of his own vision. So at that point Naruto needed to work on his own skills and maintain a strong will to stay away from the tempting offers from Kyuubi.
Once Naruto got his own training completed to become a perfect jinchuriki and totally in control of his bijju he was able to compete with Sasuke, who was already possessed special powers of his own plus more and getting powerful because of them. At that point Naruto indeed needed Kyuubi to match Sasuke. Nothing wrong with it. Shino's bugs, Keeba's dog, Naruto's kyuubi all can be put in similar category. Kyuubi is a personal power source for Naruto and he worked very hard to be able to harness it and not be lead by it.
Both of them inherited things from their families, which made them stronger than the rest in less time. But both also had to work hard to harness their powers and go through hardships before reaching their goals. People need to stop trying to put one of them down to hype another.
i thought it was without saying that kurama isn't naruto only source..its so obvious..Let's put it this way- Kurama is not the ONLY source of Naruto's power.

So did I. But I see a fifth shinobi war brewing over it.i thought it was without saying that kurama isn't naruto only source..its so obvious..
So you agree. That's not what I said.
Yamato stated that Kurama wasn't the source of his power, but his own and him saying that he neeeded the Kyubii to defeat Sasuke was a much later statement, so 1 thing has nothing to do with the other and once again Sasuke said that he needed the EMS to defeat Naruto as well, since you want to go there. No it wasn't becausw of blindness and even if it was Sasuke knew about the side effects going back to his battle against Itachi, but it wasn't as you can see here

Yamato's statement was after he survived the poison from the 4 Tails, which was why he said that.

So you agree.![]()
On the contrary, Yamato has a pretty good grasp at it. He told Naruto to not to rely on Kyuubi's power and to not see through Kyuubi's eye. At that point relying on Kurama was giving control to Kyuubi, who wanted to and could take over Naruto and Naruto would lose himself. Yamato was absolutely right in reminding Naruto of his own natural strength and to rely on himself.Yamato tells Naruto that if he wants to help Sasuke, he should and can do it with his own power. Fast forward a few hundred chapters and Naruto himself is admitting he needs Kurama to take on Sasuke. Yamato has no real grasp of Naruto's strength.
But they do because Yamato's guess at Naruto's strength was also a shot at Sasuke's own and the two are equals. If he was wrong, even in the future, his words really have no bearing on anything at that point.No. My statement is that what Yamato saying about Kurama not being the source of his power and Naruto saying that he needs the Kyubii to defeat Sasuke have nothing to do with each other otherwise the EMS would be the Sasuke's power because he needed it.
Your statement is that what Naruto saying that he needs the Kyubii to defeat Sasuke in chapter 490 negates what Yamato stated in chapter 299.
Nothing that says Naruto himself is the major source of all the power he has.On the contrary, Yamato has a pretty good grasp at it. He told Naruto to not to rely on Kyuubi's power and to not see through Kyuubi's eye. At that point relying on Kurama was giving control to Kyuubi, who wanted to and could take over Naruto and Naruto would lose himself. Naruto was able to control Kurama and become perfect jinchuriki only when he became stronger and took full control of his own self. Then Kyuubi's power became his as well, instead of a fight to gain control over body and mind.
It was obviously because of blindness. Logically there's no way for you to work around this fact. You didn't click on the spoiler because I showed where Yamato clearly backs up in chapter 299 and Naruto saying that he needed the Kyubii to defeat Sasuke was much later in chapter 490 not to mention Sasuke stated that he needed Itachi's eyes to defeat.

I remember you. You were the evil vixen who banned me once 5 years ago. Anyway, @ bold - Where are you getting that from? Minato did the work. Split the Kyuubi in half and used a special seal to contain it within Naruto. Even setting it so the Kyuubi's chakra would continuously leak out to mix with Naruto's to enhance it.Let's put it this way- Kurama is not the ONLY source of Naruto's power.

That statement is fundamentally pointless.Nothing that says Naruto himself is the major source of all the power he has.
Yet no one tries to argue Shino himself or Kiba himself aren't scrubs without their pets. Shogun is arguing a different point than what you are. That statement is fundamentally pointless.
Shino's bugs, Kiba's dog, Kisame's Samehada, Jiraiya's toad all have their own powers and qualities. But when these people are using them, it's their skill. Naruto summons Toads, and can draw from Kyuubi too. He has his personal extra battery pack but it's fused in a way that removing it will kill him and he has to make himself strong enough to harness it's power.
Even if that was true Sasuke knew about the side effects going back yo his battle against Itachi, but Sasuke disagrees with youIt was obviously because of blindness. Logically there's no way for you to work around this fact.
Logically he was not only going blind, he was also defeated by Kages and had to be rescued. Multiple times. It was obviously because of blindness. Logically there's no way for you to work around this fact.
