[Technical Issue] My original account got deleted, bring it back

I was going to wait until later tomorrow to post this, but **** it. Since the mods and admins don’t seem to read the private thread section (even though they’ve viewed it) nor the messages directly sent to them, I figured I’d post publicly. My original account (by this same username) was manually deleted by someone either late Tuesday or early Wednesday morning and I want it back.

Why was it deleted and let’s rectify this issue.

I think this was due to the upgrade feature they have done yesterday.

I think the accounts are permanently gone unless they roll back to a backup. But this will cause some data loss.

If there was no backup then the account is gone forever.

I'll look into it. It's very unlikely that the accounts have been deleted by admins as there is only a handful of accounts that has been deleted since 2008. A deleted account will still show the posts with the username in xenforo so if you can link to a thread where you have posted in the past it would help me figure things out.

Aside from that, I've seen 3 accounts get deleted/change to guest accounts which were accessible a few days ago, like Mr. Lonely https://animebase.me/threads/change-that-word.765652/ and bittersweet: https://animebase.me/threads/boys-vs-girls.765932/ and some random user who visited my profile (The name isn't shown when I hover over the guest avatar sign so idk who exactly it is)

Do they appear deleted after the new server upgrade or were they already gone before that if you can recall?

To everyone that reads this that can't access their account no more, please let us know by creating a new account or through discord dm/add friend Zise#6849 . It appears that the migration skipped a number of users that we will have to restore.
I am currently away on a trip and will be back on Tuesday, I have informed V about the issue and hopefully we can get this sorted out as soon as possible.

Also, can I like, just hunt as many guests I can find (the actual deleted ones by the mods are a few in a number which you said so yourself) and link them to you?

I think we will be able to find them all quite quickly with just a query. But it is most likely more than you think as many accounts are lurker accounts or inactive accounts. But you can of course let us know if you stumble upon one of them. Thanks
