I don't think this would be a good idea. People who died usually don't come back to the game as it creates unbalance issues and is unfair. Just mod kill the players who are afk.

It only creates a problem when the players who come back alive are mafia or have gained some info that would cause issues. Otherwise, it's usually fine.

I prefer mod kill if player dont post however if it disturb game balance its final resort to use alive player if subs does not volunteer.
