That's... quite a massive misunderstanding, but I guess I should have made myself more clear. Since scum has out of game communication, team members tend to help new players who rand scum by giving them a few pointers on how to play the game, how to look innocent. One thing that scum LOVES to ask new players randing scum on MU is to have them ask a lot of gameplay questions in a towny, "too innocent to be scum" kind of way. Since.... he seems to be completely lost and unsure about what to do, at least in my opinion, I figure that he got no outside help, which makes him more likely town in my opinion.

That's a good way to look at it I suppose and I think you may have missed my slight reason for questioning. Because by saying that you are pretty much saying that everyone who knows the rules could be scum. Not saying that was what you were getting at, just what I saw.

I don't have as strong a town read on Waido as you do apparently, tho I don't have a bad feel for him at this point either.
LanMisa feels townie at this point.

Nothing has piqued my interest as of yet, as most everyone has been relaxed and pretty helpful.

Ah, and with 18 players..? I would probably say maybe 4-5 Mafia and maybe 1 3p? If anyone else is better suited at answering this feel free to, as I haven't really played many games over 14+ players.

Well seeing as this is my first game, I think that would be expected.

When I say new, I literally meant "this is the first time they played." And I don't get the "you know the rules, you are scum" part.... Where did you get from what I posted to that interpretation? It might help me get my point across better in the future if I am aware of my shortcomings in making statements.

I'm always in the vicinity my dear, and you'll come to know that I make no difference, I'm unduly custodial to both my epiphytic flower and my fellow players.

So far I feel pretty good about LanMisa, and Red's vote to get the ball rolling felt pretty good to me as well.

I kind of hard disagree. She has asked others about their reads, their way to play mafia, their experience... I dare say that she has done more things that I can see as helping the game state than Waindo, who you don't seem to have an opinion on yet, as far as I can tell.

Hello!
My first impression of the game is that LanMisa is town due to their openness/eagerness to get the ball rolling, as well as freely contributing thoughts and reads of their own.
I've only skimmed so far, but I recall a couple questions - my timezone is EST (GMT-4) and I read off most things that come my way, though I try to avoid AtE and heavily reliance on meta.

I would guess 4 mafia and 1 serial killer (perhaps 1 survivor as well) based on balance and this site's meta, from what I have seen (though I've only played one other game here.)

I'm supposed to be hanging out with friends tonight (midterms are over, rejoice \o/) - so I'll be back for a more in-depth read of the thread in a couple hours. With regards to offsite games, I've played with LanMisa and Duk3star a couple times on MU. And I see a couple familiar faces here from Ansatsuken's game o/
