Demons are also related to fire so my theory is King ate a mythical Demon fruit. It is a high possibility because that woman in BB's crew ate a Nine Tail Fox fruit so that is good chance that Demon fruit exists as well.

No idea mate just my guess i think he could be resident of onigashima as well. Demon race is possible in one piece as well i wont be surprised if oda introduces it.

Btw who do you think is stronger between King and Queen? I always thought King was stronger based on the below panel.

But now I have doubts since Oda introduced both of them at the same time which is a little strange. I mean in WB's crew we were first introduced to Ace who was the 3rd strongest and then Jozu who was the 2nd strongest and finally Marco who was the strongest commander. Same with Big Mom where it was Cracker, then Smoothie and finally Katakuri.

Also Kaido is the 3rd Yonko up to now that has a family theme in his crew since the Calamities are brothers just like how WB had "sons" and BM had her children as crew members.

Yeah its hella disappointing, I rather new unique abilities but now everybody got to use fire for some reason. Also Ace is my favorite character so I feel like he loses his uniqueness every time someone uses fire without his DF.
