What are the size to use for a avatar?
Also same question for signatures.

I used to make a lot of signatures and avatar way back on Narutobase.
I kinda forgot that sizes ya'll use for avatars and signatures.

Thank you!

The way forum avatars work currently is you can have up until 200 x 400 avatar dimensions (maximum for the forum boards), and 200 x 200 (maximum for the user profile, as it will be cropped from the 200 x 400 avatar). So that makes up a maximum 1:2 ratio for the avatar.

I use 200 x 400 as my avatar dimensions (and re-align from the Edit Avatar dialog to compensate on my profile).

And it's worth noting that you can also use something a bit smaller than 200 x 400 (e.g. if you want a square avatar, just use the default 1:1 ratio).

EDIT: After checking, the natural size is 179 x 358 pixels

If I use 200 X 400 the avatar quality drops. Only 175 X 350 avatars are working well. Can you check if 200 X 400 avatars work?

Alright, I went and check, it is kinda smaller xD

it's 179 x 358 pixels for actual size (still 1:2 ratio)

Then this means your 200 X 400 avatar was downsized to that ratio and there would have been an image quality drop.

yeah, lmao

I'm currently changing my profile theme anyways, so it was useful to know, and I did notice the quality drop before I changed my pfp just now.

Yours is currently at 150 x 350, a decent size but it's thinner, which makes it look a bit taller.
(It's based on Chrome's DevTools - Element Inspection Panel, if you're wondering)

EDIT: if you want it to be at 1:2 ratio, you can do 150 x 300 or 175 x 350
