Doesn't really matter. That poor sap who wanks evolution and makes his career out of that pseudo science failed to give one example of a mutation adding information to a creature. Can you give me an example?
Don’t see how it’s relevant to this discussion, but yes I can:

Read the bit about ‘adding the phospho Tyrosine kinesis’ signal process.

Now can you furnish me with a scientific study linking homosexuality with mental illness?

I see nothing about information being added to the DNA. All there is is a bunch of "might have" and "could be". Nice try.

Homosexuality was classified as a mental illness until the 70's when it was removed, not due to scientific reasons, but due to people whining about it. I'm not gonna bother linking as you can find this stuff yourself. The same reason why trans people aren't considered to be mentally challenged nowadays, but people who play too much video games are classified as being mentally challenged. :lol

I just finished a haematology rotation and saw enough of God’s work that makes you really question his capacity for intelligent design.

Some of the most common hereditary causes of anaemia are the result of mutations that protect against other diseases.
The most well-known example is Sickle-cell trait and disease. This is an autosomal recessive mutation in the beta-globulin of haemoglobin (the oxygen carrier molecule in red-blood cells) – particularly it’s a mutation that replaces a single amino-acid glutamic acid which is hydrophilic with valine (hydrophobic).

What information does this mutation add? Well, to make a complex story short red-blood cells with haemoglobin-S (the mutated form) are much more efficiently removed by the reticuloendothelial-system than haemoglobin-A1 (the variant found in the absolute majority of the human population). And this turns out to be highly protective against malaria, especially the plasmodium-falciparum the most deadly form of malaria.

Now there are two genes for the beta-globin chain and so there are two permutations of the sickle-cell mutation – you can get a single or double mutation. When you get a single mutation you end up with sickle-cell trait whereas a double mutation gives you full-blown sickle cell disease.

Sickle cell disease is a rather nasty condition to be afflicted with – in addition to anaemia you get all sorts of problems as a result of the sickle shaped red blood cells occluding the blood supply to various tissue, e.g. patients often lose their spleen as a result of splenic infarct (which then makes them prone to various nasty infections because the spleen is an important part of the immune system), they get regular episodes of very severe pain when the blood supply to their bones are occluded and every now and then they get occlusion of the blood supply to their lungs which can be fatal.

What’s more interesting is sickle-cell trait where, because there is only a single mutation, patients have just less than half of their A1 haemoglobin being the mutated variant. It turns out that this is below the threshold for sickling of the red-blood cells and most of these patients, those with the sickle cell trait because of a single mutation, do not develop any of those aforementioned problems. You get protected against malaria and none of the nasty health-problems that come with sickling of the red blood cells.

Clearly God designed the sickle-cell trait (the single mutation) but what the sickle-cell disease (double mutation), perhaps that was the work of Satan?

Well actually evolution isn’t that efficient of a system except in very long times of selection.

You see – even the sickle cell trait has its downsides. The renal medulla is a part of the kidneys where there is hypoxia and altered tonicity so extreme that the threshold for sickling is lowered so that even people with that single mutation get sickle-cells in the medulla of their kidneys. If there is even more precipitative stress (hypoxia, dehydration, acidosis) on the sickle cell trait patient’s body they can eventually develop microinfarcts in their kidneys, leading to permanent and irreversible impairment of their kidney function (which, of course, leads to all sorts of morbidity).

The sickle-cell mutation is found in as much as 10% of certain African population, it is the most common hereditary disease associated with protection from malaria but hardly from the only one. Thalassemia is another mutation-based disease that in mild forms can protect against malaria – unfortunately it’s severe forms are even worse than sickle cell disease. There are a number of other mutations that protect against malaria but they don’t do so as efficiently and all are pathological.

Clearly God needed to put some more thought into malarial protection.

The choanflaggenates (spelling)developed a 3 way signalling processs that adds new information to the genome. Simple enough.

I see nothing about information being added to the DNA. Of course I’m too stupid to realise that Tyrosine kinasis, being a cell is a part of an organisms ‘genome’ and the addition of Phospho tyrosine(which performs a new function thus IS new information) is effectively addition to the genome so I’ll just reiterate how dumb I am by stating: All there is is a bunch of "might have" and "could be". Nice try.

Homosexuality was classified as a mental illness until the 70's when it was removed, not due to scientific reasons, but due to people whining about it. I'm not gonna bother linking as you can find this stuff yourself. Basically yeah I admit there is no scientific evidence linking homosexuality to mental illness, and the real reason I’m not linking is that there is no link since I just pulled that statement out of my @$$. The same reason why trans people aren't considered to be mentally challenged nowadays, but people who play too much video games are classified as being mentally challenged. :lol
Concession accepted. If it’s any consolation, you never had an argument to begin with.

I'm busy and ignoring the rant, so in brief tell is how long(50 years, 100 years, 1000 years 10'000 years) have people had sickle cell for? How long have mosquitos and malaria been around? I read several claims being stated as facts but they're not relevant for now.

Well put simply : statistical improbability.

I’ll ask in a different way as well: if you were to observe a fully grown 6 foot man walking down the road, you may reasonably infer that said individual did not attain his 6 foot height ‘from the get go’, but must necessarily have gone through the normal phases of growth : being born as an infant, then gradual growth into a toddler, followed by childhood, adolescence and then adulthood. Each step occurring gradually, and based on clues from his current ‘make up’ we make informed inferences regarding his past. Of course we cannot ‘prove’ that the 6 foot man didn’t just spontaneously self assemble last week, but that explanation is ruled out due to statistical improbability.

The same is true for evolution, and why any explanation invoking spontaneous generation is ruled out.

Translated into plain English, you don't know they didn't have a 3 way system from the get go and "the science" you touted is speculation.

When you use such flawed analogy how can you expect people to accept the pseudo science.

Let's dismiss this flawed 6ft male example.

Humans go through a cycle of growth which we both experience and witness. The human you see is born with the genetic make up(DNA) in place to allow him/her to experience such things. He possesses the growth factor from the get go otherwise he wouldn't grow. There's no stability in it whatsoever.

The same is true for evolution, and why any explanation invoking spontaneous generation is ruled out.
It's not the same as the 6ft male, however I accept your concession. Evolution is based off of conjecture/speculation, and any fancy terms that are used to mask it don't change that fact.

I think we're done here.

It’s a scientific fact, not the same as speculation. The analogy was to help you grasp it, since you failed to comprehend more complex examples of evolution, such as the choanflaggelates and narushimas sickle cell example.

The evolutionary cycle is also observable, and you can ‘witness and experience ‘ it. Our entire genetic make up is literally proof that we evolved from more primitive antecedents. Comparative DNA studies is actually the strongest proof FOR evolution, thanks for bringing that up. And human beings start off, as a single cell:

As for its status, it’s unequivocally accepted as a fact by scientists everywhere:

Yes, we are done here. Unless you’d be so kind as to cite ANY scientific journal/ study/ research paper or article that backs up your claims ? I just took out the time to give you 4 links backing up what I said. I’d like to see a SINGLE scientific paper stating that evolution is based off conjecture or speculation.

You're example wasn't fact it was flawed to begin with, once Naruhima addresses my questions he'll get his answer. No it's speculation since nobody observed it taking place and like I said where's the proof they didn't have it from the get go. Do you know the word probability itself rebuked your claims.

No you can't observe it, you don't see creatures transitioning from one into another. You don't see them gaining genes they never had to begin with. Our entire gentic make up is proof that we exist not that we evolved. You would think creatures that will live on earth would have similar DNA since they're to inhabit the same planet, yet you would say that means they evolved? I'm like wtf how does that mean they evolved. Even the single cell example your providing shows how regressed your case is to begin with, since that single cell is encoded with the genetic material already to do what it does and reach it's end goal(become a human). It would never be able to do it if the genes/coding didn't already exist try and swallow that.

Pointing me to more of the same nonsense doesn't help your cause.

As for its status, it’s unequivocally accepted as a fact by scientists everywhere:

No it's not a fact hence it's called a theory, a theory isn't a fact let's clear that up first. Posting 00's of articles won't help your case since the primary questions haven't been addressed. You're just jumping through hoops trying to prove something is true and factual yet can't answer the basic questions.

You've presented me the opinion of evolutionists who work of the premise everything evolved. That's not scientific fact rather it's opinion based off of preconceived bias. Instead of copy and past articles, use flawed logic or post more nonsense answer the basic questions.

I think you don't actually understand what the theory of evolution is or what it's founding principles are. Now I've no interest in schooling you on what probability is, what a theory is, what observable evidence is, what being delusional is (believing in evolution) and what flawed analogy is.

Yawn. Not gonna bother answering your rant. Scientific evidence >>>> your opinions.

Also weren’t you ‘done here’? Being confronted with facts must be embarrassing.

Edit: just btw, how did multicellular life form, and what were the origins of life if we didn’t evolve? What explanation do YOU have as an alternative?

I was waiting for the facts but you brought nonsense/speculation and probability which couldn'tstand up to questioning. Did you just project your ranting onto me:lmao:

Also weren’t you ‘done here’? Being confronted with facts must be embarrassing.
You actually believe you brought facts :lmao: or is it the hubris talking:)

Anyway I did say I was done so I am, the only reason you got a response was because you asked for it with your rant.

I'll answer your edit, simple, God the originator created it.

God must be a really dumb creator to make sea creatures that live their entire life in water yet breath air, like dolphins and whales. What an idiot. Why not give them gills like other sea creatures, such as fish. Or why make winged animals that can never use them for flying, such as ostriches and penguins? Or west African people who develop blood clotting problems due to sickle cell anemia.
Or create moths that fly straight into a candle at night and burn themselves. Etc etc . I could write a whole book on the stupidity of ‘God the originator’ directly creating anything in the natural world.

Rrrrriiiggghhhttt, cuz the National Academy of Sciences official website doesn’t contain ‘facts’. Lol . You’re an even bigger idiot than I thought.

See I was done on this but you made it personal because you're triggered. God does what he wants, how he wants, you're child like rant shows you're quite regressed.

If anything candles didn't exist when moths did so they're flying into man made death by their own condition. You'd think by now moths would've evolved and developed a mechanism to survive flying into candles, but they haven't so much for their evolution.

Your beef with God is that dolphins and whales live in water yet don't have gills? So that makes God stupid? If anything Dolphins and Whales affirm the majesty of God to create a creature that can live in an environment yet not be like the dwellers of it. Evolutionarily speaking they should've evolved to develop gills by now as that would be more efficient for them but they haven't, I wonder what went wrong.

The sickle cell argument is also nonsense humans have an adaptive response to external stimuli, a protective measure if you must. Which is also largely affected by diet and will affect the quality of what is passed on or how through constantly having children it becomes prevalent in a community. Why should God be blamed for giving you the ability to survive? Evolutionarily speaking mosquitos and Malaria( have been around for 10000+ you'd expect those west Africans to have evolved and developed an immunity by now and overcome sickle cell, but I guess it failed them.

You are a bit hypocritical buddy, yesterday you were saying you weren't arguing about God and today you're crying like a triggered child. I guess getting solod does that to a person, it can't be helped.

Rrrrriiiggghhhttt, cuz the National Academy of Sciences official website doesn’t contain ‘facts’. Lol . You’re an even bigger idiot than I thought.
@bold:This is what happens when somebody makes a general statement to try and excuse something which can't be substatiated. Grow up kid evolution(transitioning) = singular = opinion, sciences = many encompassing many fields(theoretical and non theoretical) = opinion and facts.

I'm done enlightening(soloing if you prefer) you, you can have the last word. I'm sure your hubris demands it, maybe it'll help you sleep better at night:)

Look, you are clearly hurt at God Jehovah and why he gives burdens to one of a kind and another to other.

But you don't need to worry over it because you are right! Since we got away from his rule, death was bounded to humanity and the world it lived on! All kinds of deaths: diseases, psychological pain, physical ones.....But that's not because he wants us to suffer it! It's because he IS peace, justice, power. Out of him we shall never have None of it truly.

"For the creation is waiting with eager expectation for the revealing of the sons of God. For the creation was subjected to futility, not by its own will, but through the one who subjected it, on the basis of hope that the creation itself will also be set freed from enslavement to corruption and have the glorious freedom of the children of God." (Romans 8:1-39)
That's what you heard. Everyone is missing God's presence! Your mind, the animals, the unfairly treated!!

The world he wanted us to live in is so different! Take a look in the prophecy of what will come:

"The wolf will reside for a while with the lamb,
And with the young goat the leopard will lie down,
And the calf and the lion and the fattened animal will all be together;
And a little boy will lead them." (Isaiah 11: 1-16)

Take a moment and think: you really think God in all his power, would want to make things that didn't resemble his might?

As for being gay or not, I'm sorry, but those who make themselves like it shall not enter His Kingdom. But now that you put that maybe you or anyone can be born like that I must say: that's so difficult, so difficult, so difficult for humans to judge that not even salamander, Made in Heaven, or me can give you the answer of the condemnation.

That's why Jesus said: "But you, do not you be called Rabbi, for one is your Teacher, and all of you are brothers." (Mathews 23:8)

As no human in the whole world can't give you a true answer. Know that only Jehovah will be able to answer it.

Remember that: "You (the Lord) open your hand; you satisfy the desire of every living thing."

It may seem frustrating at first. You may want to scream, and tell everything he did was wrong. But it's okay too because:

"The LORD is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth." (Psalms 145:18)

Job suffered tearing mind things. And he also questioned God contrary to popular belief! But that's fine too because:

"Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised." (James 1:12)

Triggered? Me? I’m not the one writing paragraphs of rants AFTER saying ‘I’m done’ .

I just asked some questions that you, in your ignorance, failed to answer. ‘Affirming the majesty of God’ is not an explanation. I could give you an explanation if evolution had occurred, what’s your explanation using the God theory for cetaceans breathing air yet living in the sea?

Also, I only brought God up because you used it as a substitute explanation to evolution you dimwit.

I don't think you are a bit worried about evolution. Then why post in a thread where we are speaking only about God his marvelous deeds?
Salamander has only been trying to help. And yet all you can do is call him names.
Calling God dumb doesn't help either.

NOTE: Salamander don't waste anymore time with him. We both have better things to do than discuss with someone in denial about his own existence.
