Get real. Even if it was true, i prefer one minute of good animation with proper storytelling and writing than 25 minutes of flashes and shit writing. The most amazing thing is that even 1 minute of the best animated fights in Naruto rekt anything Boruto has done in its essence (excluding episode 65 that was glorious in terms of animation).

I give credit to Kishimoto that built the universe Boruto and these new guys are shitting on. Very easy to pickup what was done by others and built on it, hard is to shit on the legacy of Naruto like the Boruto series does, so if anything, you should be the one giving credit, where credit is due.

When there is substance, there is no need for an abuse of makeup. This applies to a lot of things in life and also to animes. If the writing is proper, there is no need to fill episodes with flashy fights because that is not substance. You are always seeing the glass half empty, no wonder flashes work for you.

Where in hell did i not address the animation? I gave you all the answers and included the writing in order to explain my point of view. It wasn't even a counter argument, it was my explanation on why i prefer episodes with less flashes and more substance.

It’s doing alright for a spin-off given the departure of the original creator.

With that being said, gripes and complaints over the story and pacing are low hanging fruit at this point. The series does things wrong and when they do it’s bad and it shows. what they do well is passable or just average. The story doesn’t give you implications that it’s going to focus on more than certain characters dismissing the red herrings and lampshades that plagued the original series (Part 2 neglect of lore, clans and characters). The trade off is that the leafs must be interesting and in my opinion, the clash of Boruto and Kawaki fulfills that. Boruto as a character as of now cannot carry this series by himself, yet. Neither could Naruto as he wasn’t established which was why editors gave him a Gary Oak. He has the added benefit of a already established character roster of kishimoto so it’s not as apparent of his shortcomings.

The original series wasn’t tight aside from a few plot points. Part 1 is arguably kishimoto’s strongest work with part 2 and filler’s regression in quality and pacing after the Invasion arc.

Honestly adults shouldn’t be so highly critical of a teen demographic series. Especially if they watch DBS

Boruto is f* mainstream. A mainstream manga could never but never have a lot of substance in these days where everything is instantaneous, there are a few exceptions but Boruto is not one of them.

Where was it implied that it was the first 75 episodes? Learn to write.

Also, are you really comparing something from 2017/2018 with stuff from 2002/2007? How salty can you be? Animators were more expensive, the process of animation was longer, software was not even close to what it is today.
