Kawaki and the shades of Jūgo

Hey,

By now we know that Kawaki has his body tinkered and changed to the extreme but there is something that comes out. His abilities shown so far are very similar to what Jūgo can do.

We know Jūgo absorbs Natural energy and can change his body limbs and create a wholesome arsenal with it. (Think versus the Raikage and the Lotus canons)

I will elaborate.

Kawaki can morph his arm, exactly like Jūgo, this technique is called "Destroying axe fist".

He also can extend his arm, in a very similar fashion to what Jugo does.

The difference here is that Kawaki limbs are disposable and a new one is reborn, it kind of reminds me of white zetsu after Konohamaru leaving getting out of it.

There is the clear chance that Kawaki was bought not only because he had a compatibility with Jigen's curse mark but he also has abilities that are probably from Jugo clan that is quite unknown.

Another interesting point in my opinion is this compatibility question.

Isn't this what Jigen is basically doing? The kids that weren't compatible with his curse mark (seal), basically died but Kawaki managed to survive.

I know this is a bit spread in terms of information but haven't had much time to put things together properly.

Edit: I would like to know what you guys think. Is Kawaki connected to Jūgo? Does his ability come from absorbing NE? Why was he the only one compatible with Jigen's seal essence?

which is why Amado said “this is the last one right?” Or something like that when Kawaki arrived


& when Kawaki arrived, all the kids in the tubes already were still alive. But then we see later Kawaki is the last survivor.

If they were looking for any orphans, they would of gotten more kids way before they were down to just Kawaki, no?

I have no idea if Kodachi thought about this but if this whole thing isn't just a bunch of stuff glued together to make a manga, then yes, these kids would have to be specific, they would need to have some characteristic that is important.

Jugo's clan always go berserk so i didn't see Kawaki going berserk so they're not from the same clan

I don't think the berserk factor is the differentiating factor but ok. Thx for your reply. They probably aren't from the same clan but the abilities are there and probably Jugo cells.

What interests me is the fact Boruto could receive the seal without any pain but Kawaki suffered in the process. It makes me think Jigen could easily give the seal to anyone, but that he was intentionally pumping it to the max to see who could handle it entirely since a full spread is required for synchronizing. That would implicate Jigen's concern for the lineage of his subjects being practically nothing compared to whether they could actually handle synchronization.

Fat Glasses Guy also said the modifications were more similar to Naruto's zestu-hand than the mechanical pieces Ao & Fat Bad Guy wore, so it's kind of safe to assume the modifications came with a KKG of sorts. I don't really think Kawaki's arm is extending, but that it's more like him just enveloping it with whatever the **** it is that he's been producing. Something like what Kimimaro does.

It’s possible kawaki was hurt because jigens giving of the seal isn’t legit. By what’s said, the seals intention is to be given the way it was given to boruto(from what we know so far anyhow). We also know that the seal given to boruto by momo is identical to the seal given to kawaki but not identical to the seal jigen has. If I had to guess, I would see jigens seal is either a created copy(which would make sense with all the ninja tech crap), or a an actual seal that was modified. Just a thought, your post got me thinking about it.

Op: this is actually a really good analysis. Kawakis abilities and even the way they’re shown almost mirrors juugos. Curse seal/karma seal, there’s def too many similarities to just be a coincidence, although to have it connect somehow would be something I would of assumed was beyond borutos current group of writers at sp but hey, it could happen
