I know other languages have had influence in different times cus they were cool or something back then, but with computers and everything it seems like there is more and more english all the time. Kids they prefer english over trying to find words in their own grammar all the time. I thought that if English was gonna take over then it would happen far in the future but now I don't know, it seems like it happens now.

Took over a long time ago. It's been a lingua franca since post WW2 I think. Before that it was French which nearly became the next lingua franca since Latin in the middle ages

Mandarin probably the easiest since it's grammatically like English but doesn't care about tenses as much and has lesser syllables

Mandarin is one of the hardest langs in the world. It's not Indo-European so lack of cognates makes it harder to learn vocabulary. The grammar is simple but it's not phonetic, with the more complex writing system and addition of tones it's pretty difficult.

This really sounds retarded.

How can a language that 1 billion+ speak be hard?

Those 1 billion speakers were exposed to it from a very young age. Being raised speaking a language and learning it as an adult are two different things.

I’m still waiting for you to argue against my point.

What you said can be said about any language.

I've already explained why your point is flawed...so many people are able to speak it fluently because they are native, not secondary speakers as adults. :) yes, indeed this can apply to any language

I think it should be the universal language.

Anyway, the reason is that the US dollar is the strongest currency ATM and the US controls the Market.

Sorry to get political.

But with Trump’s America First philosophy, other nations will step up to take the audited States place as the #1 world influencer.

I always thought China was going to take over, which might now become a possibility of the United States steps down.

It's the global language...

It has a simple grammar structure. My native language has a lot of rules and variation of verbs.

Still I don't think it's safe to say it's the easiest language to learn because that's very relative, it depends on your native language.

English is dominant due to the fact that the British Empire spoke English and then their successor power the US speaks English. This is temporary, once the US declines fully from super power status and infuences switches to another power their language will become dominant. Dominance is determined by trade and employment opportunities.

And Spanish will take over because Mexico is prime to be a superpower.
