Naruto was someone who had to take care of himself and was a complete outsider and barely knew any love. His story is way more intersting than some regular Boruto who is not an expert but not a loser either, he have special eyes but that's about it. Nothing makes him stand out other than being the mc.

I actually like Boruto is not copy paste naruto, he is more "normal", Naruto was cute in a way cus he was like a lost little kid, there were reasons to dislike him but you also couldn't help but feel sorry for him.
Boruto doesn't have those issues and that's a good thing. But his character isn't as interesting, he is not someone who is going to level up in the series, he may gain some hax powers but there won't be much developement.

Also Boruto's destiny is already set, we know what happens to him, Naruto's life was never sure.
Plotwise you could guess good things were gonna come but characterwize he didn't know anything.

The main difference for me is that Naruto had his goal in becoming Hokage since he was very young, he worked hard for it. He was clearly a more likeable character.

Boruto is a spoiled brat that has everything handed to him, even his talent.

No not true, Boruto has everything and will still have it all by the end. He will still rise to be a hero who receive handouts and ass pulls with everybody D riding him.

It’s the power that’s being hinted at, and the ridiculousness of how they’re being handed out that’s the real issue. The curse mark and even the kyuubi had their caveats and issues in pt1, but where also scaled properly, and given actual thought. They weren’t mcguffin’d in so to speak.
Conversely, the jougan is just there for no known reason yet, and while the means of getting the seal aren’t bad, the fact that he’s credited for it is bs, as technically speaking, he literally just finished someone off that was already beaten. Like the plot literally had to force boruto into launching a giant rasengan he magically stored in his sleeve.

Saradas mighty 1t is poorly implemented as well, as it’s just being rushed along. Mitsukis still where he was since he beginning

That is a really strong point! You are right imo, it is not the handouts per se, its their magnitude, what they do and the lack of logic behind them. Instead of working for them, he just recieves it. Almost like giving the same Tennis racket that Federer uses to a 8 year old kid for its first tennis lesson.

Boruto series lacks complexity and smart writing.

To be honest i would prefer for the series to get better than for it to be cancelled, if Boruto dying would work? Kodachi would have to be inspired in order for it to work. At this point even something like that could be botched.

Dude the bold is spot on!..
I think this is my issue with this series an why I have a problem with it as I do..
K11 is in the bin for the sake of that very issue imo..

The village should not be in this condition with what we know of Konoha an even the other 4 villages..
With the powers the way they are & Konoha with gods there, it's very difficult to see this at the start of the show/series..

Maybe it's just me though an I need to chill an be patient to understand why sh*t's this way..
