If we consider the anime covered the manga right after episode 66(final ep of momo arc) episode 75 would have been the start of the ao fight when team 7 fight him. Which shows how fast the anime is hence fillers are inevitable

arcs in boruto anime that don't have novels nor illustrations from ikemoto are filler example byakuya gang arc is filler. while sumire mist and grad arcs are canon

Are you saying novels are canon? illustrations make the material canon?

I guess by your logic Naruto, Sakura and Sasuke riding horses with Kakashi is canon.
