Ino Yamanaka is pretty damn weak in 1 vs 1

She is great as support and in team but in 1 vs 1 scenario she is the weakest kunoichi honestly I mean lets take a look at her jutsus.

-Sensing ability

-Medical healing jutsu

-Mind Body Transmission Technique with it she can communicate telepathically with someone

-Mind body switch jutsu that allows her to posses her opponent body and control them by sending her consciousness into them . But her original body is without consciousness and it is vulnerable . Also its hard to hit someone with this jutsu , target must be first restrained by some means.

-Mind clone switch jutsu which is same jutsu as above but allows her to take control of multiple opponents .

The only real usefull jutsu from Yamanaka clan is mind body disturbance where user doesn't send their consciousness but chakra , which allows them to fully control opponent (pretty much like Sharingan genjutsu) while their retain their consciousness into their own body ,which is in this way safe .

Sad part is that Ino didn't show this jutsu in canon events.I can't really think of any female of her generation that would be defeated by Ino.

Ino was done dirty honestly. All the women were. We saw her dad fighting sand and sound shinobi in part 1 and his mind destruction jutsu was insane, I thought ino would actually develop past part 1 and become this badass shinobi whos whole fighting style revolved around manipulating and destroying her enemies minds, but instead we see her cry once when talking about sasuke and then her dad dies and all of a sudden she’s a human radio. It’s honestly so frustrating that all the women got sidelined with almost no development except for just a small handful

Tenten never got into any serious fights but ino and team 10 fought akatsuki.she literally stood there and did nothing.

Not only is she fodder she's not even a good strategist.on her own she gets trashed by one of the demon brothers

I agreed with this post just by looking at the title. Ino is ten times more useless than Sakura ever was in part 2. Look no further than the Kakuzu/Hidan fight. She didn't use a single jutsu that entire fight. Not even one. She just fought with a Kunai (barely). I think she threw like one Kunai at Kakuzu and that was all she contributed. Like others have said Kishimoto should have expanded upon her abilities and given her the mind destruction jutsu, or maybe even a new specialty only she could use.

Agree and to add insult to injury, she marries Sai.

There's a reason Inojin has Sai's jutsu and not Ino's. One is vastly more useful than the other, and Kishimoto realized that and made her a housewife in Boruto like the rest of his female characters.

Imo was always only a support ninja her combat levels are meh but she possess sensing, mind transfer and medical ninjutsu which make her a really good asset.

Nah Ino is pretty trash alone but at least shes good with people. Tenten against literally anybody competent, no matter the context, will always be useless.

She isn't, she is written that way. Ino can potenitally be even better in combat than a Uchiha with precog due to her telepathy.
And her range, but her brain probably doesn't process it as fast.

Kishimoto doesn't know how to write females, Ino could've been a badass assassin with sensory abilities and mind transfer based illusions abilities. A true manipulator and a temptress who could toy with her opponents
