Why did people never shame Naruto though for continuing to love Sasuke

I mean...Sasuke tried to kill him more than he did Sakura. So why is Naruto's surviving love for Sasuke never put in the same light as Sakura's? I guess you could give it a pass for Naruto being as magnanimous as he is, and Sasuke being the only other person on the whole planet Naruto relates to. Actually, he had Gaara! So what was it that was so special about Sasuke anyways? Don't get me wrong, I like Sasuke, as my profile evidences it, but it's just absurd that Naruto gets to ride on his coattails without nobody calling him out on it.

P.S:
He almost got killed at VoTE 1, and Sasuke left him to get washed up by the rain, and didn't even care if he some foreign ninja got him first before a Konoha nin and took him hostage or out right killed him. He then tries once again to go after him and Sasuke demonstrates only a hateful, nonchalant attitude towards him. Then as he obsesses again, and Sakura had been left on a friendlier note back in the village (getting softly spoken to and all), so she's got more reasons to be hopeful about him than Naruto then! Sasuke treats him as badly as he did when they last met in the first confrontation beginning of Shippuden.

Then they meet up again, when Sasuke tries to kill Sakura, and this is where one could trash-talk Sakura and get away with it, but then Naruto forgives him just as quickly and goes on about the destiny nonsense (actually, I think this is where their relationship test passes and Naruto gets away with obsessing over Sasuke, as though some invisible force is pulling him towards Sasuke when he's acting completely of his own volition!), but it's to me, another absurd cover-up for their ''then'' toxic relationship, with all the bravado & wishful thinking that Naruto buys us with when he throws Sakura under the bus for what is to be something equally stupid. It's then rather focused on Sakura's little ruse to drive Naruto away from pursuing Sasuke again than that Naruto has still not given up, after the relationship has failed so many trials, even after seeing Sasuke in person and how lost he is in darkness.

As though he hadn't been rejected a million times already, Sasuke rejects him once again and seals his dear Kurama with other friends, and promises to eliminate all Tailed Beasts, before the current kage's... and Naruto still loves Sasuke to the end of time. While Sakura has never got as much words from Sasuke as Naruto, and Sasuke actually never out right says he wants her dead, or is living to kill her. He never tries to get a power up so he could kill Sakura and doesn't center his life around such a thing, yet Naruto gets the biggest pass out of all people. Kakashi also almost nearly got killed by Sasuke, and was treated like trash against Kaguya, and yet, he forgave him that easily. Sasuke soon saw the light of day after being imprisoned for no more than a few days, and Kakashi admitted to compromising normal procedures for a criminal as big as Sasuke. So, how is Naruto...or Kakashi, or anyone that ever got a taste of Sasuke's former cold blood getting passes while Sakura gets drawn into the heat as someone who didn't actually attempt killing Sasuke of all these people!?

The sad part is that Sakura was willing to kill Sasuke once she saw how low he got, yet no one bothers putting the fact into the equation. It means that she got with Sasuke because she no longer believed he was as malevolent as before. Naruto would probably accept MS Sasuke into his home for a few days if MS Sasuke asked or some shit like that...

Apparently, there's no one Naruto would deny the comfort of his home. Seeing as Obito walked off clean, despite being the sole reason for the earlier demise of his parents. If Obito had made it through the war, he have sooner dined with him than gone to his jail cell. Sakura, on the other hand, makes realistic decisions, and took Sasuke's metamorphosis into account, and wasn't going to let him roam free, and have chances at destroying Konoha, while Naruto let him get away, and was even conditioning him for their next fight about destiny. So Naruto was putting his home in jeopardy...innocents in the thousands, just for someone who just tried kill him, his sensei and his friend, not so long ago, before declaring Konoha was in his scope of plans of things he wants to destroy. Yet Naruto gets this pass. So who really had thrown away their dignity?

If it needs to be explained to you then you miss the point entirely

Since you cannot explain it, then I must assume you don't know what you're talking about. Feel free to share the dephs of thoughts on Naruto having rational thinking during the course of his pursuit of Sasuke's reciprocation.

Stop acting dumb.

Gonna second this.

Every one hates Naruto's obsession with Sasuke. However, his can at least be tolerated more for two reasons. One, his character does not revolve around Sasuke and has other aspects that one can enjoy. And second, his is more realistic than Sakura's, even if it's still not realistic in the grand scheme of things.

@bold: on a percentage of?

His character does revolve around Sasuke, by the way. It comes secondary, to his Hokage dream, though he says it himself, he can't become Hokage if he can't save a friend, so basically Sasuke was the ultimate pre-requisite to his dream. So we can't ignore that Naruto's character was built on Sasuke.

Sakura, unlike Naruto, is meant to prioritise Sasuke...because that's what she stated her dream was in the beginning. While Naruto didn't really walk the talk. He talked about training while going after Sasuke & not succeeding :coffee:

Yeah, you're SO right. :rolleyes:Naruto's interactions and character development with Iruka, Haku, Hinata, Neji, Gaara, Tsunade, Sai, Bee, Kurama, the other Tailed Beasts, Jiriaya, Minato, Kushina, and Bolt are because of Sasuke. lmao!!! Naruto's character is no where near as intertwined with Sasuke's as Sakura's is, and yet Sakura fails to affect Sasuke in any shape or form and is far more pathetic around Sasuke.

Here is why Naruto's and Sakura's cases are different:

Naruto's determination to save Sasuke was fueled by a sense of empathy and connection. Naruto and Sasuke both knew from a young age that the other felt the pain of loneliness that they felt (even if the circumstances behind their loneliness were different). Because Naruto could empathize with Sasuke and the pain that Sasuke felt, Naruto could forgive Sasuke's actions and stay determined to convince him to come off of that dark path he was on.

In short, Naruto's determination to "save Sasuke" actually had some substance/connection behind it.

In Sakura's case, it was just a crush based on looks that she just never got over. In other words, Sakura's obsession was based on nothing of substance to begin with, so it was stupid for her to look past the killing attempts, and the crush Konoha period, and all that stuff, and to actually marry this man.

Probably because naruto actually grew alongside sasuke unlike sakura who stayed stagnant power wise. Imagine a kiba level naruto continually trying to go after sasuke. Yeah you will have sakura 2.0

But that's just your own opinion of the substance to Sakura's strong liking for Sasuke and doesn't in any invalidate any actions on the parties involved. That Naruto forgave Sasuke easily on the basis of Sasuke being his only other relatable party in his life of misfortune although like I already pointed it out, there was now Gaara and he had come to know there were other jinchuuriki he could build connections with. The only real substance left at that point of why Naruto didn't drop Sasuke was that he wanted things to go back to the way they were as he was still filled with the image of Team 7 but Sakura also was pursuing the past. So I
don't exactly see where Sakura loses substance to her pursuit while Naruto gets a pass even though the very reason he's going after Sasuke is much less compared to the support of his teammates, Gaara, Sakura Kakashi, Jiraiya, Iruka, Konohamaru, all of whom were filling in for all the emptiness Naruto felt before. With Sasuke it was just pure selfishness and wanting things to remain unchanged.

You say that about Sakura but then you forget who supported Sasuke much more than anyone during his killing sprees (Naruto) and who actually let him go scot-free after a few days' imprisonment (Kakashi). And Naruto would have probably married Sasuke if he didn't have a male genitalia. So I guess Naruto would be branded as "obsessed and blindly in love" because he overlooked everything Sasuke did before and gave him a clean record even when he becomes Hokage and can actually execute him for his criminal acts.

He didn’t marry him

And he DID go after gaara
Not really getting your point. My point for 1. stands on the assumption that Sasuke wasn't a male with a snake between his legs and isn't really a point anyways, more of something to think about and 2. I don't get what you might be wanting to say about Naruto going after Gaara ?

Anyone not trying to save face for sakura in 2018 for some reason knows the difference between the two

You make it seem like the moment gaara went missing naruto wasn’t the first one crying and running after him

Mostly because his obsession with Sasuke was something more than "i love you Sasky because..." and the fact that they really understand each other/
