It could go either way, but probably favors Kakashi. Guy is too fast for any of Kakashi's long range attacks, and in close quarters, while he is faster, Kakashi has intangibility, and along with the Sharingan, he can probably pull a hit off on him.

As the first post says, Gai can have 8 gates forever without dying, which means that at the mark of 301 seconds, Kakashi dies horrifically (give or take 999 milliseconds).

Probably sooner if he does something foolish like attacking.

Doesn't really have to honestly, it's mostly a protective measure for Kakashi. Obito couldn't react to Hiraishin, which Madara causally did (twice if memory serves), same Madara that stated twice that Gai was fast. Either he keeps kamui up or he gets blitzed.

It's not like Gai's going to run in a straight light towards him.
200m isn't really that much. I feel like 8Gates could close that gap pretty quick.
As soon as Gai is anywhere near Kakashi he'd be blown away.

Didn't work with Obito and a slower attack, won't work against Gai. As it was already proven, Gai's attack speed is better than Hiraishin (not proven once, but twice with Minato and Tobirama vs both regular Madara and Rikudo Madara), therefore to someone that fell to Hiraishin, 8th gate Gai should make short work of it. Given the fact that Gai, in 6th gate, has an attack so fast that with the mere friction of the air the punches turn into flame, stating that Kamui could be turn on and off in about a second is kinda conceding that he has no chance against something faster.

Kaguya don't have any speed feat whatsoever, why would it matter if Kakashi reacted to her bone attack? (which as it happens was a long range attack, ergo more time to react) Even sakura reacted to the "super fast" hand absorbing attack... As a matter of fact Naruto in a burst of speed cut her left arm with black zetsu in it, so Kaguya isn't a standard of speed whatsoever.
