1) he has never shown fear for his life, on the contrary, he wanted to die, was prepared to, and in the end died, by Sasuke's hand
2) (canonically) he never really killed his opponents (except for the Uchiha clan ), even though he did use genjutsu a lot...huge rep+ for that
3) he used ninjutsu and taijutsu a bloody lot as well.
4) he wasn't even afraid to face stronger opponents than himself (Nagato...and Kabuto was at an unknown point that time)
5) what about Kurenai? The ONLY thing she has shown was...genjutsu.

You don’t have to be sorry for disagreeing but bear in mind that I said that he was only a coward for spamming genjutsu, therefore I’m going to scrap one thing you posted there. But I will address some things that prove that he was, in fact, a pussy.

2.) Just because you don’t kill an opponent doesn’t make you less of a coward.
3.) He used ninjutsu And taijutsu inside of his genjutsus also. Itachi heavily relied on genjutsu to the point where he shouldn’t even be praised for it; as I’d stated in my OP.
4.) It was only after he’d died and was turned into an Edo Tensei that he had the balls to oppose the Akatsuki. And even then, he had no choice at that point since Koto forced him to oppose his former allies.
5.)Kurenai is different, she didn’t have things like Susano’o, Spirit weapons, sharingan pre-cog, easy mastery of other jutsu, etc. to deflect from her having to rely on genjutsu...unlike Itachi. Therefore, she’s not a coward.

Itachi did damage with just his 3T sharingan so imagine what Shisui, Obito or even MS Sasuke could’ve done had they been written to cower behind genjutsu.

There wasn’t a battle that Itachi took part in where he didn’t use genjutsu, aside from maybe his confrontation with Jiraiya. But even then, he cast a genjutsu on Sasuke just moments prior so...yeah.
