Pretty sure people will never be treated equally because there's always something that makes us unique that will divide us. Just like views on race and equality itself separates us. Segregation definetly does exist mentally and is not always transparent but strategically its made harder for the undesired party to enter an otherwise "open" group. Might as well just say white only on the door.

P.s: depending on what story you want to research, Everybody is wrong in one situation or another so there isnt really a winner to this argument unless its only referring to a specific event. Also Many more variables can affect a decision than just race

That's why he himself told prosecutors that he didn't actually know where Philando's gun was, meaning he couldn't have possibly seen him reaching for the gun? He asked Philando to reach for his license, and Philando calmly informed him he was legally carrying a weapon and that he was not reaching for it, but for his license as instructed. That must also be why his partner didn't reach for his own weapon or react defensively, as he saw no threat to the situation despite being there.

It was already found that the officer had no reason to discharge his weapon or react defensively, which is why the family was compensated in a false-trial lawsuit and the officer was fired.
