Shinki's a savage. It wasn't noble of him though going all out on ninja he saw to be inferior just to prove a point to his father about a village he barely knows anything about. That's why his defeat at the hands of a cheater wasn't anything but deserved, especially with all the trash talk her did prior.

Shinki's persona is a watered down version of p1 Gaara's though with the addition of adulation for current Gaara. He's somewhat power hungry and see's the 'Konoha' way make his age mates there absolute fodders. The fact his idol 'Gaara' then adores Konoha pisses him off and that's why he was determined to defeat everything Konoha could throw at him to prove to Gaara the village is not worthy of his adulation.
Gaara's dialogue regarding Shinki in the CE suggests to me that Suna has some strict training methods or at the very least Shinki himself has gone through strict training procedures. So, i don't believe your Shinki answer as to "Why?" is correct.
OT: None of them even pushed him to mid diff until Boruto cheated lol.. Dude's a beast.
